meh.... yeah mass effect was awsm, but somehow it doesn't feel very rpg-ish... what with guns & stuff, it felt like an action game (its an action-rpg afterall) For some reason whenever i hear rpg, i think of diablo & like games (swords, shields, bows, undead, armor, mythical beasts, crypts, monastery, scrolls,... u get the picture )
But loved mass effect too, no doubts there. can't wait for mass effect 2
Gothic III was the worst in the Gothic series. Gothic I and Gothic II are alot better in terms of polishing. Story and gameplay are great in all of them. And the world is (except G3 partially) so believable and intense that you'll feel "at home" while playing it.

hopefully arcania, the the next gothic game will be better
Yup... eagerly looking forward to this... The Witcher was the only great rpg i've played since diablo 2 (well titan quest too... it rocked)
the great thing i liked in witcher was that u spent a lot of time in and around the town/village... meaning lots of npcs to talk to, lots of houses, nooks & corners to explore... having just a few npcs & huge expanses of terrain can get a bit boring.
also, it was very realistic, & hardcore... i mean, who wouldn't like a game where u can bang hookers?
