Saw this tweet as well and got really excited. Im sure they are going to have a lot of new stuff to show us, and I cant wait !

I think 'dust' is a good start .. something lower than chipped. Chipped could be maybe 2nd or 3rd

Ok all..

Put on your thinking caps and lets invent temporary fictional names for all 14 gem grades and what you'd like to see them called !! All the way from the lowly chipped gem, up to the legendary Lv14 gem !

Go !

I definitly think the # will come down in some way, although not to much .. like the article said, the highest end gems are for months and months down the line ... people striving for them for very long. So a high number is acceptable, probably several thousand, but not as many as initially quoted (well, I hope not).

In the meantime, Im definitly open to the idea there might be other ways to get higher end gems (Lv 6+) if not found by them dropping. Perhaps side quests ? Or maybe combining weapons and/or other items ?

EDIT - in the meantime, perhaps we should all contribute to a list and come up with names for all 14 grades ??

What an addition to the game ... is it even possible that we all want to play 100x more now ?? Id say ... YES !!!!!!! :miner:

have to agree with above poster ... game is 10 years old, and after countless runs, builds, and so on ... everyone still keeps coming back and still find new things to do.

Would it be nice to have expansions and new stuff ? Most certainly. Will it be necessary for the longevity of the game ? Maybe not, but we'll see ....

Interesting idea, and certainly looking forward to how it plays out while actually playing the game.

Id be very happy if the game was released around june/july of 2011. Certainly cant complain about that.

If you take the quote word for word, then it really doesn't distinguish if the fire effects are for the player characters ... It can easily be effects created for the monsters or bosses, or even the background/scenery.

If thats the case, I might have to re-think how awesome it would be if it were true ....

But, I wont get my hopes up after trying for so long to finally accept that it wont be until 2012 (probably) ........

You know ... how Blizz thinks that we will all assume that anything posted will automatically be taken as a joke .. only this time it will be for real and we all still wont believe the news
