It could be cool if done right, I think. I don't know what the bonus would be, but Blizzard isn't a stranger to this sort of thing. They're handing out these kind of things left and right on WoW.

posted a message on New most powerful class in 1.13? Or no change at all?
So with the (minor) tweaks that have been made with 1.13, what would people say is now the strongest, most powerful class character if you were to put it in the hands of a veteran Diablo player? Or is there no change in power at all? I know builds and everything else come into play with the answer to this question, but that's why I'm saying in the hands of a "veteran Diablo player" for this hypothetical.

Just curious what people are thinking about the characters now that a lil bit of nerfing and other things have happened.
    SHOOT!

Well, as my first good note for the patch, for the first time ever, and I mean EVER, I found an Um rune.

I had to do a double take on it..and it was on the hellforge on NM...so yeah..I'm likin this patch more and more..hah

Nightmare huh? Yeah, that's why this patch sucks.
It also sucks because that's the only thing of benefit it seems; higher drop rates. Woopty-fuckin'-doo.

Hell, if they actually updated new content, then I'd gladly pay to play.

And it looks like that's the ONLY way you'll be getting new content.

The fact they give support does not have to mean it?s good support.

They made it look as if this a massif patch that would add so much.
Can you blame people being disappointed when looking at the ?massif? list?

Just that you work does not mean that you earn a paycheck, it needs to be good work aswell.
Just that they give a patch does not mean they earn our honor, respect w/e, it needs to be a good patch in order to get positive replies.

And imo, this patch is changing the game for me (and some others) negative. It almost seems like a Diablo 2 1.13 Noob Edition. They made the game so much more easy.
I'll stick with mods and 1.12 tyvm.

    *Flameshield activated.*

Agreed. Probably one of the better points made in this thread. I don't think all this anticipation and excitement for the 1.13 patch was created by us, the fans, and us alone. Blizz definitely made it feel like this was going to be something big and bigger than what it turned out so be (so far).

I haven't been this excited for a patch of any kind that I can remember; and it wasn't just because I decided 1.13 was my favorite number.

Yeah sure.. make changes to the game and put it on test realm and let it be there for 2 years so all the things are fixed in a way that the game is balanced..

I doubt it's that easy to make all the changes you suggested, new difficulty, 150-200 lvl, items etc.. Thats like making a new expansion.

Who the hell knows. None of us are game programmers.

If this is all this patch has to offer. Consider me underwhelmed.

Wheres the new loot? Runewords, uniques, crafting?

Agreed. And not even just that, where's the lore? The bite? I know we weren't promised anything as that or anything ground breaking, but with a CONTENT patch I'd like to be able to look at the patch notes and see CONTENT. All I see is bug fixes and this mystery bullshit they're jerkin' us around with. Like someone said before, where's ANYTHING the fans suggested? They made a big deal about how they're taking opinions and thoughts from fans and all that wonderful jazz but bring nothing to the table.

Way to blow your load early, Blizz.

    And this patch sucks dick.

    Pretty much.

Look, maybe we're jumping the gun on this and maybe there's more to be found within the patch after more than a few hours of gameplay. Maybe after initial beta the "mystery" is more and there are some tie-ins.... but from the looks of it this was a huge disappointment. I think expectations were high because people saw it as Blizzard "reawakening" D2 in anticipation of D3; and breathing new life into the series we haven't heard from in a decade. Atleast that's how I felt. Almost as if "Aww shit... something BIG is going down if they're releasing a new CONTENT patch!".

But that doesn't seem to be the case.

posted a message on Diablo 4, and so on.
I think we'll have to see what direction they take with D3 before we can even start to imagine where they will go with a potential D4. I know that's kind of a "duh" statement but with a new team different from the one that worked on D2 working on D3 it's all up in the air from here.

posted a message on Epic Fail
How can something fail before it happens? I also read through your post a couple times and have yet to find your point. I learned that you personally don't care about lore and that the Diablo series is a "mindless clickfest".... I guess? I'm still not even sure if I learned THAT. The game isn't even out yet, not even played yet, and not even a quarter of the game is known, in ANY aspect!

The epic fail? You and this thread.

posted a message on Diablo fans: Your guilty pleasure songs?
No guilty pleasure songs come to mind, but if I had a guilty pleasure band it'd be Seether. They've got some great songs and I really dig the front man's style. He's been through alot and isn't a washed up pansy found in most music today (my opinion).

i'm just sad that no one had the balls to stand up to him

    LMAO! Freakin' love it!

Mr. President had it right when he called this fool a "jackass". Get the Hell off stage and go back to sittin' in Jamie Foxx's lap; because you wouldn't be a damn thing if it wasn't for him layin' down vocals for your "Gold Digger" song. Which wasn't even an original song on your part!

Also, I saw a post earlier where someone was suggesting maybe it was staged, and it was definitely not. I read reports the next day that he was drunk and that after that happened security kicked him out of the building.

posted a message on PSP or DS
I currently own both and got both when they each come out. So having owned both, I can easily say of the two the DS is far more fun and offers alot more titles with substance than the PSP by leaps and bounds. People say the DS is for kids and pansys, but GTA: China Town Wars would disagree. That's an arguement against the DS that's older than the DS itself and is pretty much irrelevant.

However, in your situation needing a computer substitution, I'd go with the PSP. It's got a web browser, Skype, internet radio streaming, MP3 and videos, along with some other applications that could be useful to you. Just bank on having to buy a pretty nice sized memory stick for it all.

But with all things aside and if you're looking at the DS and PSP side by side, my personal choice is the DS. Just because of all the games it has to offer and the different ways to play them. Sure, all the PSP fancys are nice, but who really needs them? The MP3 player itself on it isn't all that easy to use and you don't get a whole lot out of it. The max volume isn't all that loud, and it doesn't offer any kind of library options such as playlists or categorizing. It's very picky about video formats, and the internet radio streaming doesn't offer a whole lot of variety. The web browser is not much more than that; not very fast but it does have history, bookmarks and all else you'd find on a browser. The wifi and wireless internet is nice, but connection signals don't always stay too stable. The game graphics are good and looks nice, but controls sometimes are jerky and not very.... well, controllive (I just made that a word). The PSP is more complete if you're talking in the sense of features, but there's not much bite to them and almost come across as filler.
