posted a message on Wipe the Difficulty levels
My major beef with the norm, nm, hell thing is that you didn't even get to use all the skills and as such see all the game by playing through the full game. One play through the story should equal THE GAME, anything more like NM and Hell is icing; and there for those who want to keep playing (usually because of multi bnet).

If there are still the three tiers of 'difficulty' (aka exponential monster health and damage) you should get and be using the equivalent of the level 30 skills for 5 or more levels by the time you get to the end of the game / story. When you face THE end boss even in normal it should be challenging and meaningful.

I myself kept playing after beating the game and essentially seeing it all (yay here come the same weapons with different names / stats) only because I enjoyed the gameplay in party rather than because it was 'challenging'. Seriously there is nothing challenging about having to read a forum for the leet build necessary to pwn the game simply by buying the right few pieces of gear and spamming one skill.

posted a message on What entirely new character class would you like to see in D3?
I thought of two fairly obvious and possible classes, which i still find fairly cool and unique.

First is the Scout which is essentially the ranged class we know is coming. This class is a ranged class (bow / xbow) but being a scout has skills like a combat scout like identification of enemies before party mates, perhaps speed buffs, a bonus for being the first to attack an enemy. I would also like any ranged type ranger class automatically use a secondary melee weap when attacking an enemy in melee range (or hit the enemy with bow like the barbarian does with the haft of the maul in the gameplay vid)

The other is based on the Indian (dot not feather) feel of Kurast.

This class is the Yogi or Sadhu. If you've read the comic The Sadhu then you know what I envision. Powers over pain and personal perception, also perhaps some spiritual styled skills. Throw in a little Dhalsim from Street Fighter (Yoga Fire) and it would be a cool class to play. Probably a mixed melee (staff skills) with magic.

posted a message on Kill Counter
I thought I heard somewhere that they'd like to implement achievements of sort like kill X zombies, etc.

It would go well with also including a type of character sheet (or card if you like that sort of thing) that could be seen by others who examine you or you could hand off as a sort of buddy list as well. Not sure if it would take a lot of work on blizz's part but it would be nice to have such a sheet like in the past GTA games; for example miles walked, zombies killed, time spent airborne, enemies decapitated, etc.

Included would be also deaths (SC) as a prominent stat to make it more socially respected to have died as few times as possible. Kills vs death ratio like FPS! heh
