Specifically regarding the Legendary and Set items that are shown on the Diablo 3 site, is this an exhaustive list of these item types that we'll find in the game ?
If not, then do we have any idea about what % of the actual in-game legendary and set items are shown on the site ?
Just asking, because I'd sure like to believe there's more than just that !
Ok, so it seems like you can play on NA servers from Korea and have good latency...I'm assuming it would be similar in Tokyo. Is the only way to find out when servers go online and to check in with others in East Asia who might be playing off on NA servers.
I'm moving to Tokyo in June, and really wanted to have access to play on North American servers so I could have access to both RMAH and the gold auction house.
I'll be getting the game on May 15th like most of us, and will be activating it from the US. I imagine I'll be placed on a North American server since the activation is here and my bnet address is in the US (and will be changed to my permanent address in the US once I move to Tokyo).
I was worried with all the crap about South Korea not wanting the RMAH and wondering if that would affect players in Japan.
Great point. Now what if I were to buy Diablo III in the US before I left and then began playing it in Japan ? Is it simply a matter of the actual game and where it is sold determining the availability of the RMAH ?
I'll start off by apologizing since this may have been covered in the past.
I'm moving to Japan in June and like all of you, am itching to play Diablo III. I've read that the RMAH will be disabled in South Korea.
I'm not sure how the servers are set up, or if it will be like WoW, where you can join any server in any timezone that you like, but does this mean that if I'm logging on from Japan, that I won't have access to the RMAH ?
If anyone could answer, that would be great, thanks guys !
My feeling on this whole matter is that they won't announce release dates until the actual game DVD's are being mass copied, boxes and materials are being produced, etc. Basically, mass production and shipments to retailers being the final steps remaining.
Anyone who expects the game to be out before deep in the summer months (think August/September) is fooling themselves. There's still plenty of work to be done on this game from the looks of it. We were fools to think that a 2011 release was even remotely possible.
I also don't expect Morhaime to say anything revealing during the next call. Everyone should just keep themselves preoccupied with other games, work, life, whatever. I've stopped checking the site because there's so many spoilers about.
Retailers don't know jack shit. It'll come out on the day that Blizzard announces it will come out. Every other piece of information is speculation at best.
I feel very similarly. I've been playing other games and obviously keeping bus with work and real life commitments. I'm at a point where if they never release the game, it won't make much of a difference. If they do at some point in 2012 release it, then I'll be happy, but may not even be playing it much at all, to be honest.
Other games have been giving me a lot of the utility / fun that Diablo would have given me. Rage was incredible, loved every moment (except for the Dead City...fucking mutants are scary and have a habit of running out from nowhere). Just picked up Arkham City last night and will be playing that till the disc doesn't run anymore. Not to mention that I still play WoW on and off, leveling different characters. Borderlands 2 will be out by next summer as well, so plenty to look forward to.
I love the Diablo series. I gave it so many countless hours of my adolescence. Spent so much time going over the lore and debating with friends. After all these years though, and especially the way Blizzard has handled the PR aspect of managing a rabid fanbase's expectations where the beta is concerned, I've gotten turned off to the whole experience.
Sure, I'll try and get a ton of Diablo III playtime in at Blizzcon this weekend, but beyond that, I've lost my taste for it.
Before people start to flame me for whining, I will remind people that we're all fans and the most basic right we have is to voice our opinions, even if it's critical rhetoric. I personally have been playing Blizzard games since 1992, have spent thousands of dollars on games, merchandise and events like Blizzcon and most importantly, like all of you, have given my time and patronage willingly to the company and their games. We all have a right to vent about this and feel disenchanted, if we're so inclined.

I've narrowed my choices to the Barbarian and the Witch Doctor.
Regarding the WD, what do you think about the character's viability in the later Acts of Hell and throughout Inferno difficulty.
Can you WD solo content in Inferno ?
Do they have enough mechanics to deal with difficult boss, elite and champion packs ?
Will the zombie dogs + Templar combo be able to tank somewhat effectively in Inferno ?
Will the WD be able to pump out enough DPS to overcome some of the really tough fights ?
Your thoughts are always appreciated !

I hope so ! I really want access to the RMAH, just so I have the full experience of D3.
