I remember Diablo II being released, while at the time I was only 8 or 9, and thinking that the art direction and graphics had been changed way too much from the first game (though obviously in a less sophisticated manner. However, I still felt the general way). At first I hated it - I thought that the original game had been perfect and that these "improvements" were degrading the quality of Diablo. However over time I grew to like it all, and I logged hundreds of more hours playing Diablo II then I ever did with the first game.

The people at Blizzard create quality games, and I believe that the art direction is intended to seperate Diablo III from its predecors in order to establish its identity. I believe that although the concerns about the art direction may be legitamte, there shouldn't be so much emphasis put on the negative things surrounding Diablo III's release. And for this reason, I would like to offer this thread as a place to discuss all of the POSTIVE things that people have seen since the announcement of Diablo III, and all of the things they are looking forward to seeing in the game.

indeed i like how bosses can literally just pick you up and kill you now XD i mean you always gotta wonder why some giant dragon boss etc cant just eat you XD

same thing here. then i introduced it to a class of 2nd graders. thinking back, i probably created hell for a lot of parents.

lol what better to do than to introduce kids to violence and gore the old fashion way "mommy look what so n' so showed me at school, CAN WE GET IT, PLEASE?!?!" XD

well heres the low-down. i have been addicted to the diablo series ever since my uncle showed it to me on his computer when i was like 7 years old. hearing that Diablo 2 came out made even more addicting and thus i followed suite and glued myself to the dim glow of my computer monitor night after night leveling and getting items. hell i even snuck on at night when i was supposed to be asleep. and then all hell broke lose with the release of Lord of Destruction. my addiction became so bad to the point where my dad snapped my disc in front of me >.< ya i know.. i got WTF PWND.. but over the years i have learned to take in MMORPG's with moderation and found they are far more fun when your are older and not need worry about your time schedule. its because of time schedules that all those people talking about how kids shouldnt play M rated games, well did it ever occur to you guys that there is a window of playtime those bratty little kids dont get to play in>? late night to early morning. and all my online gaming experience even though im only 17 i have found there are plenty of mature youngins. and its people like them that band together in this time window to make it one of the most desirable playing times for RPGs.

i believe gamers nationwide are going to really connect through this third installment of Diablo and blizzard shall once again command the online gaming community with its player friendly UI and interactive environment. not to mention their phenomenal graphics and back story

P.S. hopefully the party function has improved and its not just a group of people like D2: LoD but kinda like WoW in the sense that its easier to work with your party and accomplish tasks.

think about it. who has pushed the hero to do everything that has progressed the story? Cain. So then, who is responsible for the Worldstone's destruction? Cain. So in essence, the hero, the prime evils, and Tyrael are pawns to Cain.

My ideal story would have Tyrael be a big baddie in D3, and then Cain turns out to be the primest of evils in the expansion.

never really thought of it that way. great analysis

posted a message on Please, Blizzard, let there be a monthly fee.
    Quote from "Murderotica" »
I been lurcking around this forum for about a week and finally registered. I just wanted to add my thoughts in about this. Read before you flame please.

There are many reasons I would like there to be a monthly fee, or at least wouldn't mind it.

    1. Keep the kiddies out. I am tired of 14 year old punks ruining my gaming experience. With a monthly fee, that is payable by credit card not game card, it would get rid of a lot of immaturity and would result in a better game. The game is rated M for a reason. Go watch your bob the builder and leave the gaming to the adults, thanks.

    2. If blizzard plans to regularly update this game like wow, then I don't mind one bit paying for the content. It would give extra money to blizz for new enhancements and whatnot. We were all complaining about how d2 hardly ever got updated. Well, why should they when they have no reason incentive to. Added levels, bosses, items, bug fixes, and world events is way worth the cost to me.

There are many other reason however those are the main two.

Also, something else i thought of. Let say they start out with a fee of 5-10 dollars a month. Thats cheap as hell. However, every time you are caught using a hack, cheat, or exploit they raise that price 5 dollars. It would be a incentive not to cheat because it would start effecting the wallet.

Lastly, to the people who say they they cant afford a monthly payment. Honestly, if you cant afford 15 bucks max a month then you really need to get a better job or something and not play games. Im sorry, but if you are struggling to pay that small ammount of money you have other issues.
Bring your lunch to work 3 days a MONTH and save that money.
Dont spend 19 bucks at the movies and have that money.
Dont buy a case of beer and you can have the money.
If you are responsible with it you can easily find extra money.

Well thats my two cents, flame on.

finally someone else has seen the gaming world falling apart. but keep in mind if a kid really wanted it bad enough their parents would probably pay for it. second off im kinda in the middle with the hacking, i think its unfair to most player but the upcharge would get a bit complicated. honestly they should just make sure there isn't any form of dupe, bots, or hacks. good post though. anyone who would flame this is a poohead >: X

    Quote from "steelrh19" »
If anybody played DII before, im sure you remember the horadrim cube you recieved at the desert of Lut Golein. I used it a lot when creating uber reguv potions and upgrading gems as well as other uses. Does anybody think that they should bring that item back to DIII?

i think they should. however i think they should limit its power and make the array rather, list of items it can make and combine larger though.
