Act 1 is Tristram and the monastery
Act 2 is the city of Caldeum if i remember correctly
working to see if i can find any corresponding images with the last two, maybe someone else knows?
Edit: Act 4 kinda reminds me of the architecture of the high heavens so maybe the crystal arch or the silver spire?

Feb 9, 2010Jindujun posted a message on Female Monk UpdatePosted in: NewsQuote from "bes" »hey, I noticed something
when the female monk is wearing shoulderpads, she doesn't wear the beads.
As you can see, she only wears the beads in the very-light-armor-artwork, in the medium-armor-render and the heavy-armor artwork, she isnt wearing the beads.
is Blizz trying to ditch the beads?
btw the male monk wears his all the time (but then again we haven't seen him with shoulderarmor yet )
I really hope they keep the beads, they really add a nice touch to the monk. Reminds me of some of the depictions of buddhist monks(most often in anime and whatnot).

Oh and Akuma/Gouki from Street Fighter! -
Feb 9, 2010Jindujun posted a message on Female Monk UpdateI like it. I think this is the first time i see a female character that doesnt look like she'd break if a monster even looked at her.Posted in: News
That said. She's sporting a Paladin Tier 8 bottom half(with slits in the dress) and a fair of what looks like priest tier 9 shoulders. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

This one made me wonder... They're talking about DX11 and Windows 7. Why the hell would they remake the engine they have for that? =X

Well that is the way it is happening. Same as they have in HG:L. About MF i believe it's calculated individually for each player as well(think it's like that in HG:L) when an enemy is killed.
Why would this cheapen the economy? Why would the drops get better because of more players in a game?

Sure, into game economy and longevity. But none of that generate money for the company unless they have ingame ads. If you have a game with 100% free access once you buy it a person who has bought the game generates exactly ZERO extra money but cost money in upkeep. This is assuming he doesnt work actively to recruit new players to the game.

Wouldnt casuals be the ones pulling in the most money in your way of thinking? If they buy the game, play it for a few weeks and then shelf it they wouldnt use the server infrastructure and thus not generate costs for server management.
From someone who has been playing games as a hardcore gamer for years and years I totally see where you're coming from. But your general attitude is really bad.

The thing is that even if they stayed you'd never see "Blizzard North" at the beginning of the trailer since they wanted to assimilate Blizz North into Blizz HQ. Blizzard North is gone forever.

There is a big difference between offering and allowing. They had the D2 files open for editing but they NEVER offered any help or support on the matter. I dont shun modders, some of the most fun I've had in D2 was when playing mods but I wouldnt wanna see Blizz assisted modding with editors and whatnot.
