If you think ANY calls is lame, weak, or useless, then you really shouldn't play any video games anymore.

I basically already said something about this, which was the same. Just darken it up a bit, and let the light radius highlight the colors and all that stuff.

I can't afford that spell hitting low damage, no matter how low the probability of that is.

Yeah that made sense, "they were doing what each one of the characters was doing in a way or another" psht.

Anyway, they should just cross out the entire Assassin idea unless they have something frikkin' amazing. I used the Assassin (and the Barbarian), and I'm saying that.

Well....that would be horrible. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I don't think they fit that much into the Diablo world. Assassin's barely made it in IMO, but bringing in Shinobi into the game is a big no no.

That petition is so funny, really, it's hilarious. They don't want to try something new. I doubt Blizzard would care if they lost 60,000 buyers, when they're gonna gain tenfold that number in new gamers. I bet you all those who signed it are gonna buy the game, lol if you think they won't.

posted a message on Dissapointment with old classes returning...
I played the Barbarian, and I was disappointed in seeing him return so bluntly. Regardless though, he appears to be just marvelous. I know he will have way better skills (hopefully), and the chances of me not using him are slim, at least I hope so. They appear to have revamped everything, from appearance, to abilities. Moving on, I wouldn't like to see any of the old classes return, no matter how great they are, because I can just go back and play LoD again. I trust in what Blizzard are doing, so I'm just waiting to be surprised.

The entire idea of the Witch Doctor is fresh, unique, and well played. All the skills that I have seen so far are just, wow. I don't play such classes, but I would just love to have a Witch Doctor in my party, where he'd provide much needed support. We need something different than the ol' "I'm a badass with my deep voice, really dark, contemporary, and seen so very often everything, so try to act surprised, while I'm mainly the same deal as you've seen so many times before in so many different games/movies/whatever". It's a fresh change, embrace it.

posted a message on Φ Barbarian
The Barbarian looked great. I wish they did a little more "actual fighting" rather than constant..constant..constant..CONSTANT skill attacks. I swear, they did like, 20 Leap Attacks in the first 30 seconds of the gameplay vid. I would've loved to see more actual bashing than Cleave here, War Cry there. That aside, if those were his top skills, I will be having second thoughts about choosing the barbarian, though mind you, I believe most of those skills were level 12-16; if they are any higher than level 21, then God would I be disappointed. No complaint there, but think about it, it's unreasonable. I haven't seen 10% of what the Barbarian can do, so I will in no way judge him based on what I have seen thus far.

posted a message on The 7 Original Diablo II Classes
In my opinion, they should think a little bit outside the box. What I mean by that is; don't bring back characters with expected abilities, names, which have been seen in countless other games. The Witch Doctor is very, very unique, in my opinion. I mean, in how many games have you seen such a character? I know I can't say the same about the Barbarian, but at least he has some unique abilities now. Now, regarding the new characters, I hope they will be as unique. I don't know what they're cooking up, but if it's as good as the Witch Doctor, then I know I will be pleased.

Maybe you should make a lighting sorceress...

I never liked Sorceresses, I'm more of a close quarter fighter, rather than a TELEPORT STRIKE TELEPORT STRIKE, and then act like I can own God kinda player. There's not much art in playing a sorceress. I only like a handful of 1-x spells, like Lightning Sentry. Lightning + Corpse explosion = orgasm.

Longboats, Cogs, Galleys, Canoes, I have nothing against boats, I would have loved to have been on the boat from Act 2 to act 3 (and back again) and have gotten attacked by sea monsters.

I would have also liked to have been in the caravan from act 1 to act 2 (and back again) and have gotten attacked by bandits.

Even Baldur's Gate II had a fight on the deck of a ship, you couldn't go below deck or anything (which I figure would work like going down cave or tower levels), but a fight on a ship none the less.

I do not think swimming will work in a isometric game like Diablo as I do not recall many times when your character is not standing up. The only time I can think of is when they are dead. They could probably make some animations of your character getting knocked on their back when they get it with Knockback or something, but generally speaking your character is either standing, walking, running or dead. I think it should stay that way.

It's hard for me to agree on everything a person has said in a certain post, but I do agree fully to yours. Anyway, the Amazon's Dodge maneuvers enabled her to lean back quite a bit, so maybe that's what you're thinking of, besides the character being dead, we'd see the Amazon go backwards quite a bit.
