HG:L CAN be a good game. I´m so critic with it because it was a very promising game... and i hope it still can be it. It´s biggest problem is that they promised too much, even Max Shaefer talked about it, and in the end we didn´t have lots of KEY features.

The author compares a finished game with promises, so he is too much biased to me, we still don`t know if D3 will have all what they are promising. I trust Boyarsky and the rest of the team, but I trusted in Roper and Shaefer too.

But Blizzard have more resources than Flagship and can wait until the game is really finished so is more unlikely that the problems of HG will happen again. Still, a lot of people will be disapointed when the game ships, developers just can`t please everyone. Blizzard have an image of delivering polished products so the percentage of a great game is high.

I don´t share the biased version of FSS and Blizzard "versions" but I can´t say that the author is wrong. Still remember some of the first developers chat with things like "encourage exploration", "different experience for the classes". "NO FEDEX QUESTS!"

Even now, at the left of the interface we have our progress in the faction. That was never implemented. During the beta, we saw all of the problems and the beta was almost exactly the final product.

Hellgate could have been a great game. But it didn´t deliver the promises they give to us.

I have faith in Blizzard. They just have to deliver what they promised and Diablo 3 will be the sequel the franchise deserve.

I don´t have problem with the 4-5 limit. I would like more people, maybe 8, or even 10, because not everybody on the party fights on the same place. Too big parties is like having a Diablo that plays like a MMO.

Co-op works better with smaller groups and Diablo have worked really nice with small groups where all in the party can participate.

I´ll still want necromancers on D3. They are a strong summoner class and not really evil, just dark looking.

Necros seek balance of heavens and hell and don`t like to much influence from one or another.

Ranged and elemental spellcaster could be the others.

I don`t know about angels or that kind of things, we don`t see elfs, angels or other fantastic creatures on cities. Sounds a little sacred to me.

But a real dark class sounds interesting, now, with heaven and hell on earth, a corrupted class or something like that.

Long life to the unlurkered lurkers... or whatever.

The general asking for a darker mood is not the problem for me (I like the actual art direction). It´s when some people start to make things to personal with those who have the opposite view, and I´m talking about both sides.

Hi, I have been a lurker from a long, long time ago. But it`s time to say hi.

Why Baal do not destroy the worldstone if doing it was better for Hell? He wants to corrupt it and if I remember he is blocking Tyrael from getting near the worldstone so we, the mortal heroes, must defeat him.

Maybe Tyrael is not directly corrupted, but he can have his own agenda maybe rushing a total hell vs heavens conflict over Sanctuary.

I believe necros can even now have a way in. Witch doctor works with zombies and poison, but there still all the dead and bone powers. Maybe not into the 5 first ones, but maybe with an exp.

The website have some interesting references about necros when you read the skeletons chapter.

5 is a nice number. And we don`t know how many variations can have each class.

The idea of Tyrael getting evil seems very strong. At least he is going to be a very strong NPC on Diablo as someone said on the thread. WOW have a little Tyrael pet, he presents the Diablo 3 homesite and we can see much game art involving him.

Have somebody explored the idea that Tyrael could be warning us about heavens? The angelic danger can be the High Heavens itself and Tyrael rebelling against it to try to protect us.

The "who isn´t with me is against me" is making a very interesting talk into a simple spam war. I like the colors, but can see that those who want a darker diablo 3 have a point, and a very good one.

But any of both sides isn´t going to be stronger just for say things lowder or with more anger.

Hi people. Well, I like the way they are travelling with this graphic direction. I like the dark Diablo too, and for now I think that this is the most colorfull that the game can be without losing it´s spirit.

As others I really fear the WOW cartoon look getting into Diablo but I thing they are doing a good job with this balance. Maybe the next areas and chars we see can give a more clear picture of the whole game.
