Oct 22, 2010Siaynoq posted a message on The Blizzcon HubOh for me it's definitely still Monk first. Then Witch Doctor. Then maybe Demon Hunter.Posted in: News

Eh, I don't even know. It all happened so fast and I had too much coffee this morning anyway. -
Oct 22, 2010Siaynoq posted a message on The Blizzcon HubMm, I think the Monk has more of an assassin feel compared to the Demon Hunter. Or least, reminds me more of the Assassin in D2. But yes I can see what you're saying. I keep checking the D3 official website hoping to find the lore behind this class. I'm interested in maybe some use of demonic magic as part of her background story. You know, using demonic magics against demons themselves sort of thing.Posted in: News

Oct 16, 2010Siaynoq posted a message on Wizard Looks Good in New Item SetI hear ya, toma. I like the innovative ideas they're coming up with as well. But I would like something more in the realm of familiar. Something that really hearkens back to the original Diablo. I've been very supportive of the overall art direction and character design in D3. But I do hope for something a bit more classic looking.Posted in: News
The armor of this Wizard, while admittedly kind of cool looking, just seems a bit impractical in its own right. Or maybe there is just something excessive about it that reminds me a bit of the over the top kinds of armor you'd see in WoW. -
Oct 16, 2010Siaynoq posted a message on Wizard Looks Good in New Item SetOh come on. It's not THAT bad is it? I guess being that it is flamboyant though is consistent with the background story behind the cocky Wizards. I guess it's a reason I don't like the Wizard class though. They just seem like a couple show off teens who are trying to look fabulous.Posted in: News

I don't know. I think it's cool now that you can equip individual pauldrons on each shoulder. It's kind of cool looking the way the Necromancer was in his canon armor with the one shoulder having the tall spike on it. I like my characters not to be totally symmetrical looking.Quote from VladDracul
Also tone down the ONE shoulder pad which I feel is retarded and should be mirrored on the otherside

Oct 15, 2010Siaynoq posted a message on Wizard Looks Good in New Item SetI don't really see the Wizard being the headbutting type. But no, its girth would impose more limitations than benefits. Practically that is. I'm sure it's a delight of enchantments otherwise.Posted in: News

Oct 14, 2010Siaynoq posted a message on Wizard Looks Good in New Item SetI'm not keen on big tall helms like this. Just think practically about its physical limitations. What if you're exploring some dungeons with lots of low ceilings? Or even if you were in a serious melee someone would grab onto it. Same reason you'd wanna keep your hair short when fighting zombies.Posted in: News

Still thought, you have to wonder who even though of the real name ID and what the hell they were thinking.Posted in: News

Evet. There should be major offensive abilities, major defensive abilities, crowd control abilities, maybe some stealthy abilities, and these first three you should have to kind of mix up for best results as opposed to, like you said, using just a couple skills for all things. I don't mean to compare Mass Effect 2 to Diablo 3, but ME2 did a good job of balancing out different skills for different kinds of combat situations. And I think one of the most interesting kinds of skills are the crowd control ones. In ME2 it would be something to like throw a crowd of enemies over or stun them. D2 had it with things like Necromancer Curses or any kind of Summons. Just any kind of ability to buy you some time while you either escape a possible situation or just barely overcome it.Quote from Zhar
Same, I really don't want DIII to be like DII where you could use the same tactics with 1-2 skills throughout the entire game and do fine.

I've totally ditched bears now. I used to think that was just some definitive skill a WD couldn't live without. But I'm really a dire bat kind of guy. That thing with a high attack speed can work wonders.

I thought I hated the little reward that came with playing Inferno. And I think people are more upset about its seeming lack of reward as well due to this being the only endgame in sight as of now.
I like though how I work hard in Act 2 and inch by inch I fight my way past some elites. And yeah it's expensive as hell if you keep dying. And so like others I just go farm Hell for gold. But I like working hard and earning my gold and then shopping on AH for some gear that may even be just slightly better than what I got but it's a step up regardless and then I gradually get better at Inferno. Like I still can't get past Act 2 for the life of me. But I like seeing how I'm gradually surviving things more and more. I really don't want Inferno to served to me all easily. This part of the game is where I want the grind to be. The key though is either playing by yourself with a well equipped follower, or joining up with people you know cause strangers like to wander off and dry hump tree stumps.
