But maybe he was speaking figuratively and we shouldn't miss his point. First, being that he wishes rare drops occurred more often. Second, well, contrary to your opinion I still think it'd be plenty hardcore. What is this hardcore mode you guys are talking about anyway?

Yes. He has great incentive to lie. :)

I believe him. And they could up it a bit and it would still be like Mountain Dew hardcore.

I guess I remember people just hanging out in town and chatting a lot too. Of course, party sizes were bigger back then and you could host different games for different purposes such as trading, questing, MFing....stuff like that. My game name was always "Video Games" and people always dropped in to chat and play.

Moderate settings? You're kidding, right? With raided 560's? Did I just misunderstand you or something?

Edit: Sorry, I get it now. I didn't realize what the hell puppy was at first.

Just throwing this out there...but you can find a lot of SATA III 120GB ssd's right now for right around 100 dollars. I'd do that for your drive and get a bigger one later for storage.

The old timey photos on the game's site are really creepy too. Or those ones from like the 60's.

I could see using him to DP my wife, but you expect me to have full blown gay love? I mean, even some cuckolding would be one thing, but...

They definitely need to improve the summons (I don't wanna call em pets anymore) a lot more. That seems like a no-brainer. I just wish so bad the Garg could tank the way the Clay Golem did. You'd still be kiting for your life anyway so what's the problem of making the Garg more sustainable? It's just sad how utterly useless summons are in Inferno. Act 1....maybe the Garg can buy me a few precious seconds to escape a mob of elites, but it should be more useful than that.

What WD does have I think are good survival skills. Not tanking skills as far as I've discovered, but good solid survival skills. I've scraped through so many bad situations with a combination of life soul harvest, spirit walk and spirit vessel.

I've totally ditched bears now. I used to think that was just some definitive skill a WD couldn't live without. But I'm really a dire bat kind of guy. That thing with a high attack speed can work wonders.

Sorry, sorry, WHAT? So, on the one hand you're telling me that I don't NEED or HAVE to use the AH, it's not essential, I can play the game perfectly fine without it, etc etc, and on the other hand, you're telling me that ruining the AH ruins the entire GAME?
On the one hand you tell me that "why does it matter what other people are doing, this isn't competitive gameplay, just do your own thing", etc etc, and on the other hand you tell me that if OTHER people get more items, it ruins the game for ME?

    Cognitive dissonance much?
    Tee hee! Maka.

I thought I hated the little reward that came with playing Inferno. And I think people are more upset about its seeming lack of reward as well due to this being the only endgame in sight as of now.

I like though how I work hard in Act 2 and inch by inch I fight my way past some elites. And yeah it's expensive as hell if you keep dying. And so like others I just go farm Hell for gold. But I like working hard and earning my gold and then shopping on AH for some gear that may even be just slightly better than what I got but it's a step up regardless and then I gradually get better at Inferno. Like I still can't get past Act 2 for the life of me. But I like seeing how I'm gradually surviving things more and more. I really don't want Inferno to served to me all easily. This part of the game is where I want the grind to be. The key though is either playing by yourself with a well equipped follower, or joining up with people you know cause strangers like to wander off and dry hump tree stumps.
