I totally remember that looking at early SC2 screens. I was actually kind of depressed cause everything looked so plastic and lacked the gritty aesthetic of the first game. But to their credit by the time the game came out all the machinery in the game had a really nice worn look to it.Quote from FingolfinGR
They do that with every game i think. When they were alpha in SC2 the game didn't have too good textures. They revamped it completely by the time they hit beta. I don't think that's the case yet, but i'm pretty sure they started the process.

The thing is that the skill that deflects projectiles is active, not passive.
Perhaps i'm wrong, though. Serenity: The Monk creates a shield that protects him from all incoming damage. Lasts X seconds.
from our wiki page doesn't mention specific skills and you should be a happy camper!
One thing I love about that screen is it really showcases the 3-d. I love those poles with the banners waving on them and how they're really close to the camera. -

That's....potentially a shame. I loved how the Assassin could use her passive block skill while having dual claws. Hopefully the Monk's claws will still be able to deflect melee attacks.Quote from FingolfinGR
weapon specialization will play a big role. there's a skill that uses the staff to deflect projectiles. I don't think this will work on fist weapons/swords.

12 are confirmed dead and at least 70 wounded. Apparently, they are now adding security to major theaters playing the new Batman movie (which is probably a tad reactionary, but still). I guess now the politicians need to have another gun control debate. That always comes up inevitably after a shooting. And people will try to make sense of this event, but I don't see the point of that. This is as senseless as things get and I'm not sure there's as much to be learned from it as some would think. It's just senseless bullshit.
