posted a message on Evolving Weapons
I was talking about this a little earlier in someone elses thread but I think it'd a good enough idea to qualify for its own thread.

The idea is that there are certain weapons that gain experience as u kill. This could be explained by daemon possessed weapons feeding off the blood of the slain or any number of reasons. Naturally, most of these weapons lvl up faster than the character using them gaining marginal stat boosts as the weapons increase in lvl. Once a weapon reaches its maximum lvl u would be able to take it to a blacksmith and reforge it to its next stage. The weapon then gains a large stat boost, changes look/name, and resets its lvl down to 1. Of course each weapon with this power would only have a certain number of evolutions (two maximum seems likely) and the better ones would take much much longer to lvl up.

This kind of system would not only add another funky aspect to the already large arsonal contained by diablo, but also add more motivation for people to keep on fighting even after they hit the "highest" lvl or whatever they are aiming for.

Ok... A lot of people here have been saying over and over again that the WD was the wrong choice for blizzard because lots of people don't like it.......
Well, to be perfectly honest... No...

Whether or not people like the character has no sway over whether or not he is added. Even if every single person besides blizz thought it was the most stupid idea in the world the choice is still in there hands not to mention the fact that a good portion (Me included) think that the WD is an excelent addition to the Diablo world...

On another note... There has been talk in this thread about there only being 5 classes and that it is ok because D2 only had 5 classes... While I admit that it is blizzards choice in the end as to how many classes they put in I also do not think that, that is a valid arguement... There may have been 5 classes in D2 but the fact is that D1 had only 3... that right there sets a standard of increase but just to affirm it LoD also added in 2 additional classes, still following this code of escalation. At this point, because of this upward trend, it *definately* was an unwelcome shock to those who just expected more.

This is not to say that blizzard is wrong in its decision but only that I do not aggree on a personal level based on past performance...

posted a message on Most Powerful Items in D3?
After readin..... most..... of the replies there were some pretty good ideas. I really have a lot of faith in blizzard though seeing as they have released game after game after game after game that have been top sellers/world changers to the gaming market which to me seems like we are not giving them enough credit. Sure runewords will probably still exist seeing as they are really cool and a very unique way of twisting around the game and sets are also kinda cool giving you an added incentive to search for that last piece of gear or whatnot, but I'd like to think that after two previous editions of awsomeness and completely refreshing gameplay that they would continue that streak and add something completely out of the box similar to how runewords were a good subtle suprise.

One idea could be something like weapons that lvl as you do. This is not to be taken as "Based on character level" but instead as literally your weapon gaining experience and even perhaps evolving. The weapons would likely lvl at a faster rate than the character and evolve maybe once or twice in order to unleash their true potential. Each individual lvl should also increase the power of the weapon/armor marginally.

This would not only allow you to keep old weapons instead of tossing them aside but also add another motivator to keep fighting at the high end of the game... Maybe I'll make a thread for this tomorrow and see where it ends up...

I hate to rain on your parade of self centerdness but blizzard didnt design this game to your specifications....... in fact the only thing u even mentioned that was not pure personal taste was when you spoke of the fire bomb not being suited for him which, while we are on the topic of personal taste, I think is completely and utterly wrong.......

Witch doctors are notoriously thought of as crazy potion toting lunies and the fire bomb seems like an excelent choice to go with the them as well as many of the other moves you tossed aside as bad without one word to defend your view.

Don't get me wrong, feel free to hate this class as long as u want... that's your deal though and certainly not worth bringing to the forums... or at least unless you have a better arguement to stand on than personal taste and random conjecture... (-_-)

I didn't have time to read through all of the pages so this may already have been covered but I think it's kinda important to point out that in the gameplay trailer, you see cain with two guards weilding some form of fire Bows. I don't think there was much doubt before, but this almost completely assures me that there will be a return of some form of amazon/rogue class but also makes it slightly less likely that it will be an assassin mix. I know that the assassins did have fire moves, but this indicator only suggests a bow focus at this point whereas traps have yet to show their face at all.......................................
except for the treasure chests I guess.....................................

posted a message on Would you like Diablo 3 to be in 3D like the recent Warcraft games?
I think that the game should be 2D like it always has been but make two teams. One side Heaven the other side Hell. This way there is more pvp involved but you still get the same Diablo game we all know and love.
