All I'm saying is don't say you disagree without providing something to back it up. Why don't you disagree? Just because? Then don't bother posting.

hey mister, i didnt mix any of m up, i was using the name you used for them, that you suddenly put that tag on two of the groups is beyond my power. And saying that you know what im thinking is even worse, im not even making groups, you are, i'm sitting here laughing my ass off at how ridiculous this all is, and just having fun on this ere forum, give me a few weeks and i'll prolly be bored with this again and bugger off to do something else.

If you have anything else to say let's hear it, because I thumbed through this sorry excuse for a post and can't find any reason to continue engaging you in anything resembling an on-topic, intelligent discussion.

In other words: MAKE IT AGAIN. I don't know what you're attempting to say, if indeed a point exists.

I really don't appreciate the way you're treating me. It's completely uncalled for.

I gave my logic if YOU would read. The petition isn't official, until Blizzard puts a poll on the site, a OFFICIAL poll they can monitor, then it can't really be trusted.

I'm treating you the way you deserve based upon what you have put forth on the interwebs where people can say what they think however they wish.

That is to say, you deserve to be treated as an irritant.

Regarding your idea: I believe such a poll would be imbalanced. Why? Because of the differences between the advertisements. It would be a different situation if, at the D3 announcement, Blizzard asked: "Which art would you like to see?"-- but they did not. Therefore those in opposition to the artwork would have the advantage in such a poll.

You provided logic, that you self claim to be flawed, thus making your point void. Why do you contineu on this useless bashing then? Every point so far you've made is useless because you yourself said it was flawed. Critical thinking my ass.

    Wrong.

I stated that my logic was flawed in my orriginal post and not the following posts.

I was referring to the fact that I said those opposed to changing the artwork should make a petition to prove that they are in fact the majority.

Since you seem a bit slow I'll clarifiy WHY that logic was flawed for you. It is because they have nothing to fight for, therefore no true reason to petition, so that even if such a petition existed the numbers would prove nothing, as this group doesn't have a reason to be vocal-- they already have what they want with the artwork in its current form.

My posts after this original post have been pointing out why it is still silly to call the dissatisfied group the minority. Go back and read them, let me know if you have something interesting or intelligent to point out afterwards.

while the "vocal minority" as you call it, believe that they are much more >_>

You're categorizing people into the wrong groups.

    Fear not, I shall explain.

You (and many others) believe that in this situation there are two main groups.

The "vocal minority"-- named so because of their supposedly largely inferior numbers but strong opinion

and the second group, everyone else.

There are in fact three groups, two of which hold "vocal minorities."

    How so?

The people who are disatisfied with the artwork. Vocal Minority numero uno, the starters of this little dispute.

The people who either enjoy the current artwork, or just want to piss off the other vocal minority and really don't care. They are vocal minority two.

Group number 3 is the majority. They won't have any opinion either way and most won't even be aware this issue ever existed, regardless of the result.

You DID call my logic more flawed than your own and now you're continuing to badger me for no good reason other than you're on the offense because I don't agree.

I never claimed that I did not call your logic flawed.

I said that I called my logic flawed and that you did not call my logic flawed. I also called your logic flawed as well and have made no attempts to deny this.

Once more your response leaves me in awe and I must question whether or not you actually read what I posted or skimmed it over and let your fingers meet your poor keyboard once more.

I'll illustrate the process for you.

SEE RESPONSE--> READ RESPONSE --> CRITICAL THINKING --> APPLY CRITICAL THINKING IN RESPONSE TO POST --> WRITE POST --> REVIEW POST --> CLICK "POST"

If you have to skip a step or two, then make the process like this: SEE RESPONSE--> DELETE SELF

Onwards we shall go to analyzing your idiocy! A daring venture, I'd say, with plenty of peril and stupidity.

You don't agree? Perhaps you should supply.. logic.. to prove your 'theory'? I have. If you're going to respond, don't just be like "I DISAGREE ROFL." It would not hurt anyone, except perhaps your own head, to apply some thought behind your opinions.

That is a lie, Blizzard has yet to respond. All the interviews you read were taken during the Paris weekend.

Correct. People are under the illusion that Blizzard has responded-- when, it was, in fact, a preemptive comment that was, perhaps, made in anticipation to the very response the artwork has generated.

Given this fact, perhaps we should conclude that there are people at Blizzard who realize something is wrong as well? If so, then I do not see it as a difficult aspect to change, especially given the "vocal minority" (read: lots more people than the opposition would lead you to believe) and all the press they are generating.

Ur right, seing things in black and white is the thing of genius and never caused ANY WAR OR CONFLICT AT ANY LEVEL WHAT SO EVER. Also trying to find some middle ground (like a graphic filter option for example, or whatever else 'd be a good idea) IS NEVER a solution.

I'm going to torche myself for being so wrong.

Could you at least complete grade school before er.. whatever "torche"-ing is.. yourself? I like my posts with a side of grammar, please, and a dash of critical thinking if it isn't too much to ask, sir.

Now, the thing is, you're saying that people who aren't satisfied with the current artwork of the game see things in black and white-- and that they are angry idiots. The ironic part is you refuse to see them in any other light.

    Yes. "Torche" yourself immediately.

Ugh. Stop badgering me for no reason. I never claimed your logic was flawed. I'm saying you can't have a accurate poll either way, there are a LOT more fans than just what we have seen.

Blizzard should hold a official poll.

No, you didn't say my logic was flawed, I did. If I need to explain why to you, don't worry about it anyways.

The point being, you claimed that because 18,000 (or whatever) was a relatively small number compared to millions, they were the "minority". I used something known as "logic", specifically "deductive reasoning" to conclude that you could not prove it was the minority or even not the majority of diablo fans that were dissatisfied.

Just sit down, and shut up. At the very least, do some critical thinking before unleashing your fingers on your poor keyboard again.

and one fraction of angry idiots... (sorry, it had to come out)

    Dissatisfaction =/= angry

And I fail to see (and somehow doubt it is due to my limited perception..) how this type of thing makes an 'idiot' out of anyone. Being passive = intelligence? Hardly.

Millions of people bought Diablo II, how is 18,000 or whatever its up to now NOT a minority?

D3 won't just be getting all the old fans back it will be gaining new fans also.

Incredible. Your logic is not only more flawed than my own, it is ignorant and stupid.

Because, of all the millions of fans that will buy diablo 3, how many are aware of the petition? How many give a shit either way? How many have gone online to research diablo 3?

A fairly small number. And, of that fairly small number, let's say that 100,000 people went online today to check out diablo 3 info. Even though that would be an incredibly huge number, it is possible. So, let's say, of that 100,000 that maybe 30,000 people looked at screenshots or information on diablo 3 art.

And let's say that of that 30,000 , 18 thousand fans have now signed a petition.

    Yes. The Minority.

    Got it.

I think it's a bit silly claiming that those who want the graphics to be "darker" are the minority considering the petition's growing numbers.

Create a petition to KEEP the current colors that has a much larger amount of signatures and I'll believe you on the "minority" part.

Yes, I realize the above logic is flawed. That's the point.

I think the gameplay video and screenshots are sufficient enough to make a judgement on the art. Why? Because its cartoonish, its a bad version of WoW as the artwork stands. Even if we're only seeing 1% of the game, we can see what a tile looks like, what a rock looks like, what the shadows and lighting look like, what trees and grass look like. That's all we need to make judgements.

I'd figure that Blizzard HQ gets bombed instead. Thousands will be incredibly angry. Not merely from the fact that D3 wasn't announced, but because they would have announced another game on the Diablo birthday.

A bigger slap in the face would be hard to find for any fanbase.
