posted a message on I'm sorry I doubted Blizzard and...
I'm sorry I've enabled us to tear each other apart with such a futile poll. Hopefully this stays in the chat section because I am chatting about Diablo 3, the artistic direction, and this community associated with Diablo 3.

I know when I've made a mistake and I can apologize for it too. So here we go, but first let me say; I never disliked the graphics (edit: not that disliking the graphics is bad, we each have our own opinions). In fact, when I first saw the game, I awoke someone because I couldn't contain myself. I admit, after seeing a few choice, edited, pictures that I digressed from my overall ecstatic satisfaction. Though I never contended for change, my boldest statement was that; 'while I found the graphics to be amazing, I wouldn't necessarily turn down a change.'

With enough skills and the right photo manipulation software, one could make Diablo I look magnificent, even by todays standards. Sure, these manipulated images seemed nostalgic of an earlier time, but that earlier time is no more and as I watched the game play video more and more, I found the graphics to be spot on. Just as I felt them to be when I first watched it.

I have watched some posts spiral out of control, and I wouldn't be surprised if some people said some things they'd prefer they hadn't. I know I made quite a few edits to my own posts after identifying them as effusive from a textual perspective.

I'd like to invite anyone else whom may seek redemption to use this post as a platform to do so, if they'd like. Sure, overall there may be a few concerns we can all sympathize with, but we can surely discuss it amicably.

I had never really given diablo3.com much notice until it became diablofans.com. I immediately signed up and hoped for an intelligent, mature, and kind community. Yet, overall, we seem to have torn each other apart. I feel we need to remember what we intended to be; A strong community with a firm foundation that supports Blizzard and their fantastic video game series "Diablo."

Personally, I don't want to be affiliated with a change in art direction. Some of you would like to make the claim, "Yeah, we made that change happen," I'm sure, and while your opinion is valued, there are ways to go about it like a true, professional, diablofan would.

I am open to whatever Blizzard decides, especially knowing that they take their fan base into consideration. I'm not opposed to an artistic shift, and I am certainly not opposed to keeping it as is. After all, before I knew of these possible changes, I knew this was going to be the best game of all time until Diablo IV is released.

Unfavorably, being open to an artistic shift makes me feel like I am less appreciative of Blizzards efforts. It shouldn't, I know, because if the game were stick figures, someone would speak out against it, just as I'm sure someone would defend it; but it should be done professionally.

In summation, I would like to use this post to apologize for any harshness I may have imparted (misconstrued or not), and any negative posts perpetuated by others as a result of inadvertent connotations derived from my posts. We are listed on www.diablo3.com. Let's be the best community associated with this game!
