I just wish the holy crusaders against THUD knew what it actually does and doesn't do. It's obvious most of them just jumped on the bandwagon and can parrot a few key phrases.. And again, they actually embarrass themselves by their crusade against THUD, all the while ignoring the far worse things out there.

They should do a little exploring in Google, the sites where you get these programs are not difficult to find.

It wasn't Blizzard. It was cheating assclowns who cried and later reverse engineered it so they could use it in GRifts.
KJ was being responsible by disabling the maphack stuff in high level GRifts, but the cheating neckbeards couldn't handle that so a couple of them reverse engineered it to enable it in GRifts.
They are too damned stupid to realize that as long as it's not impacting GRifts and Blizzards precious leaderboards, Blizzard has less incentive to go after it. But since they can't compete without cheating, Blizzard has incentive to disable THud or go after those using it.
Yes, I'm pissed. This is why I hate most of my fellow gamers, they can't be trusted with anything.
EDIT: THUD basically breathed new life into the game when I was growing very bored with it. I guess when the banhammer comes or THUD stops working, I'll be finished with D3.
Everyone here knows they will just move on to the next topic to demand nerfs to. The pattern has only been repeated non-stop for the last 2+ years. In fact it's been repeated since the dawn of online gaming.

I've likely been gaming longer than most of the people here. One thing I've learned in my many years of gaming, the overwhelming majority of gamers want nothing resembling a "fair" competition or in the case of PvP a "fair" fight. They will do anything in their power to have the deck stacked in their favor. And that is a fact.
I would love to see D1/D2 remastered...WITH ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER CHANGES....not a one.
And then watch the forum for all the "D2 is da bestest game ever" crowd having their nostalgic illusions shattered and thrown on the floor as the reality comes back and punches them in the face.
