And now this day has come.
I am speechless.
Ok, not quite speechless: FUUUUUUUUUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stayed up all night to track the changes and make guesses and chat in the IRQ and Forums.

Unless you work at blizzard, you have no more of a clue as to whats going on then the rest of us. relax with the judgment calls.
Do i wish the game was in my hands and ready to play? of course. do I wish the world was black and white and they had a release date set in stone? sure do.
Is that the way it is? no.
If they just didnt say anything about anything until they were 100% sure, then you would all complain about the lack of info. If they gave you their honest best guess, but they end up being wrong, you would complain that they are liars or incompetent. so they try to feed you little tiny tidbits of ambiguous information, and you just jump to conclusions and complain anyway.
I personally would prefer no info, but some prefer hints, and some just prefer some news, even if its wrong, to at least know somethings being done.
In the industry I work in. being 9, on a scale of 1 to 10, as to how close to done. means only a year or two. everything has perspective, and its not always the one you have.

if you read back a few pages in this thread a discussion about this was already had. its only actually been a handful. as some of the things where never implemented to begin with. Such as the custom death anims. The runes and a few other things where not removed either, just redesigned. dont take it out of proportion.
on another note, im glad to read through here and see some other people chime in about the overreactions going on. Good to know im not the only one who sees it.
@osky good post. i agree with most of that wholeheartedly. I also thought it was entertaining watching the people complaining about the lack of release quoting Jay as saying "in the coming weeks". when its the beginning of the week. Blizzard does have a history of doing things on Monday, but its not a law, they can change that if they feel the need.

@Karsen88
you dont know who I am, what I do for a living, or what i do or dont know. (i could explain my reasons, and talk about how smart I am or where I worked. but this is the internet, no accountability, no proof, and a plethora of misinformation. it would be just as pointless and hollow as your arguments are)
keep in mind, I dont know these things about you either.
Please do not assume things you do not have the ability to know.
you also still seem to be missing what im saying, as I have restated it twice. You seem more keen on arguing about who knows more about what then focusing on the point. I am now giving up on my quest to try and get people to go relax and have a beer and stop flaming, ranting, raging and otherwise making their own time miserable. (this is all semi off topic anyway, and should be moved to a new thread if we wished to continue on this line).
but to be on topic. Im hoping the release date for the game is mid june, so that it lines up with my birthday. June is also in Diablos game release history (Diablo 2 was late june right?) so it has a chance? I can hope. That would also put it about 3+ months out right now. and as they where saying they would give a few months, assuming thats true, then they might announce the release in this coming month-ish.
Im personally thinking something will be announced near or on the 19th. but if thats the release date? meh.

I would challenge you to show me any actual monetary, professional, or otherwise measurable "damage" being done to the company. The majority of the complaints right now are revolving around the release date. Any "damage" done by this will be all but erased once the game is out. There is no community or brand name damage happening, as you seem to believe, because as soon as the game comes out all that goes away to be replaced by more realistic complaints (aka game bugs). Any damage you perceive right now is not actually significant in the grand scheme of things. (note i said "that you can perceive", as there may be real game design damage, or game management damage being done in the background, but none of us will be able to see any that until after the game comes out. and going off of Blizzards track record, I would say this isnt likely.)
but as i said, rant on brother. you are entitled to your own belief of what is happening. please just keep in mind what you believe will not effect reality. Im just trying to help you all calm down and get on with your lives. (think of it this way. with all the time we are ALL going to waste once the game comes out, I would think the precious few days we have left should be spent productively. Heck, go get some overtime at work, you will need the money when you take 3 weeks off to do "just one last mission".)

calm down, go have a smoke or whatever you choose to do to relax, and stop flaming Blizzard corp or employees for your inability to separate fantasy (when you think it comes out) from reality (when it will actually come out).
but meh, nobody is going to actually listen to any suggestions anyone posts here. thats the nature of the internet i guess....
sooo... rant on my web brothers, rant on.
