I'm starting online with whoever is around. I'll have friends who will play and we'll be on battle.net. Single player will be reserved for days when my internet is down or I am downloading something which takes too much bandwidth.

Every death hurts your armour. And after a while you'll have to go repair. My memory is fuzzy since I haven't played Diablo II in a long time but I think thats how it was. At least I do remember having to go repair multiple times because my armour and weapons were damaged/broken and I'm sure part of that was after deaths.

hmm, i forgot about that part. Either way no it's not a joke since it has a death penalty. In normal mode you still get hit for armour durability. Which after a while is enough incentive to not to die. Your post makes no sense since Diablo II did have a death penalty and it only got greater in higher difficulties.
I'm sure part of your body will still be there for you to collect your items from, and you might just have to go looking around for your head to find that helm of yours.

everyone is just guessing. More or less saying what they would want to see.
I would actually love to see the Diablo II style running back to your body death. For the penalty I think it should be some EXP, but unable to lose a level/go into negative exp. It's not that big of a deal, just watch yourself. EXP loss is the only death penalty that will get people to watch out. Oh and preferably damage to armour as well.
take a look at AoC, with no death penalty that game is a joke. There needs to be a penalty, for PvE deaths only. PvP shouldn't have as much, or a penalty at all. On the topic of PvP, i really hope we can collect the players ears of who we killed. Those were always fun, especially when you keep it and then trade it back to the person later on when you happen to meet them for a trade.

Just wondering when will we get our next fix of news. Hope they do something monthly. Watching the gameplay video over and over might drive me crazy after a couple of months.

for fucks sake. Did you not see that I LIKED THE GRAPHICS. I had one damn sentence about how the graphics IN THE DUNGEON should be darker and there you go being a fucking moron.

took the quote from the gamplay trailer when the chest loot drops a bit too seriously it seems. So he has no actual proof, just over-exaggerating details.

"awesome" is the only word i can remember, everything else was pretty bland. Questions from audience were complete crap. Developers had some interesting points at times but nothing special since I really don't remember much of it.

I'm having no issues with the player or the feed and haven't had problems these 2 days. The only "issue" i have is it sometimes needs to rebuffer. I'm watching the 1000kbit version, with the 400kbit version i was having issues connecting to it. I'm fine if they use this for Blizzcon as well.
The questions and answers i'm sure will be posted right after the session is over.

The one thing blizzard is not lacking is artistic talent. Blizzard's cinematics are second to none in the world. You cannot find game trailers with as much detail as Blizzard puts in, you can hardly find movie trailers with as much detail.
"Gothic" style as you put it seems to pretty much mean dark, no saturation and flat. Thats not what I want a game to look like in this day and age. Dungeons should be dark but the outside should not be. The evils have been gone for 20 years, the world is rebuilding itself. So far we know nothing of the rest of the story and the rest of the areas. The world at this point has no reason to be dark.
"Cartoony" does not have a set definition, just like cartoons have no set art style. You can call anything cartoony for whatever reason.
I do agree that the games palette needs to be a bit less saturated and a bit darker, but thats not a game breaking issue since graphics do not affect the gameplay and I enjoyed the graphics in the gameplay trailer enough that I can live with them if it was to be like that during live.
