Some people state it should and that Damage type of any skill is changed from its initial type into Elemental corresponding to the chosen Rune. Is that so? And does it concern WD Pet skills particularly? If you apply Poison or Fire Runes to ZD and Gargantuan and read the tooltips, they will state that attack damage is still Physical, while the immolation/cloud is Elemental (Poison or Fire respectively).

The balance should ONLY and ALWAYS be based on your in-game skill and time investment. The game world is not connected to reality somehow. You start anew and achieve everything from scratch. If you can just use your RL earnings, what's the point?

I have a WD who's ONE WEEK old. I just play the way I like and build the way I feel. I enjoy the game and play it, instead of being fucked by it in the ass. I BREEZE through T5.
Blizzard PLS.

I'm currently running in full Poison build (Rhen'ho + Addling Toads; Poison Gargantuan Dog; Poison Gargantuan; Piranhas Mutilating Wave + BBV & Jaunt) with Poison damage only on bracers and enjoying it a lot. I was playing in Fire (although I personally cannot call Rain of Toads / Piranhas + Fire Dog & Fire Gargantuan a Fire build because it's mixed) before with a higher DPS simple knife and it was boring because I only had to spam low-damaging ROT and wait until fetishes and gargs finish off elites and whiteys (whiteys were the most boring ones to wait for). Now I massacre everything with those crazy confusing toads. They even confuse bosses, which is pretty awesome! I even went up to T5, although I've only started WD about a week ago days ago and was doing T4 for the last days.
And I've come to a strong conviction that Toads is probably the only worthy attack of WD at the moment, Spiders being completely useless (enjoyed Spider Queen when levelling), Bomb and Dart being too weak.
My build and gear just in case:http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Havoc-2232/hero/43896127

1. The commercial ones, who went directly for things that people like and certainly will like, who follow patterns and styles and who spread word about themselves everywhere for the purpose of gaining audience and monetizing stream or satisfying theirlust forattention and popularity ASAP.
2. The quality, self-sufficient ones - those driven purely by their desire of self-expressing themselvesvia streamingand helping others out by sharing their experience and knowledge. Consequently these monetize their streaming activity, too but usually it's rather dictated by dire needs of survival than by commercialism as they get to spend too much time making quality streams.
I strongly recommend you to follow the second path - if you have the ardor within you - as I believe it is theonly one worthyand also the only one that will be able to survive the competition thanks to quality and uniqueness. Therefore you don't need to ask questions like 'what do people like' and 'how do I change myself so that I'm being liked', just do what you want and love and see if people are interested in it. Grow your small army of admirers that will spread the word about you.

I also don't really like Wrathful because he's pretty slow and only manages to land a couple of attack before disappearing. And freaking fetishes block him almost every time. So I'm mostly running with Bruiser. Although my gear is far from perfect and I've started WD only recently (yet managed to get a lot of decent pieces of equipment).
And the last question - is losing around 100k sheet damage worth switching to Rhen'ho and explosive toads? I like the ET, I have Fire bonus on bracers and it spawns fetishes quickly. But my Rhen'ho is only 2100 DPS (although with INT and socket) compared to some first-try-crafted 2500 DPS ceremonial knife. When running Ghom on time I killed him faster with 2500 DPS knife and rain of toads, but the difference was only 4 seconds. The packs of creeps are blown away like motherfuckers with the rhen'ho-ET setup though.

Unfortunately, I'm completely disappointed in Razer products durability after buying Deathadder Black Edition a couple of years back. That one worked fine for about 6 months, then started double-clicking. I changed it at service center for free, the new one started double-clicking after 8 months. Then I bought DA 2013 and have already changed it TWICE before a year has even passed. Thank God the warranty period is two years, but visiting service center across the whole city every 4-5 months to change your mouse is frustrating.
I love the model and the DA probably rests in the top 5 of best gaming mice ever, but I really cannot recommend it anymore (as well as any Razer mouse) as I'll be also looking for a new mouse soon. This one (THIRD DA 2013) already started to double-click sometimes.
I'd definitely NOT pick up a Razer mouse, until they realize their quality drop is too much and fix it.
Steelseries Diablo 3 mouse has guaranteed 10 000 clicks durability, but I think I heard it was designed for claw grip - correct me if I'm wrong.
Update: forgot to mention that Razer mice make you addictive to them with their ergonomics. It's just amazing how your hand and the mouse merge into a killing machine without any physical or mental discomfort. Oh, it's going to be a long search for a new mouse that could reproduce the effect.
