WoW is now feeling the pain of AoC and soon to be WAR and Star Wars and Fallout 3 / Farcry 2 / Episode 3 (along with Portal 2) {all together as these are single player FPS, but are great enough to cause the casuals to finally flee WoWzor}
Blizzard knows they need a next gen mmo (oh IDK like what they have stated in press releases saying "Each franchise will get a MMO") and just the name Diablo added on to that next gen mmo will completely remove any momentum the previously stated MMOs had

The only damn reason WoW is losing some subscribers right now is because all the new content thats been added to TBC is for end game rading guilds only. Once Wotlk comes out they will all come crawling back to the game. I remember it being the same way before TBC, all my WoW buddies have taken a break from the game and blah blah blah, then the day TBC came out, everyone in my friends list was filled was online.
Now for all your damned 10 year old crying of Diablo III being an MMO, Blizzard is not stupid. They will make Diablo III and have it be the tradition hack n slash genre everyone has come to love. Diablo would make a great MMO but Blizzard won't go against popular vote against the fans and do a MMO of the Diablo universe before a new traditional Diablo game is done and done.
This also reminds me of all the morons spouting that Starcraft 2 was going to be World of Starcraft.....that turned out well....oh wait! It was a RTS....the genre that the fans wanted the game to be in.
Now please get the hell out of these forums and stop giving Diablo fans a bad name.

They did, same setup as well. CG trailer followed by a 10 min gameplay vid with walkthrough.
For release date though, I don't see Diablo 3 taking near as long as Starcraft 2 because it doesn't have near as many balance issues that they have to keep constantly changing and testing.
Starcraft 2 = massively competetive game
Diablo 3 = Slaughter the hell out of everything and just making the classes very different
Still a lot of work in doing that but Starcraft 2 def. has much more to worry about. One unit is overpowered means the competiveness of the game is screwed.

I know it's not Diablo 3 but its one of the Diablo clones and if you have played the game then it should bring out a laugh.

And in case you haven't noticed how unstable the server has been the past week, these tools are the prime cause.
Almost all the ppl that joined this month have said nothing reasonable or have posted the same thing every single page making a logical conversation impossible due to all the posts that actually are discussing different things about the teasers and now the game itself are getting bypassed because of all the freakin DIABLO 3 LOOKS LIKE WOW posts.
I'll shut up about this crap but allowing them to do this crap 24/7 and not doing anything is only going to encourage more ppl to do it because they know they'll get away with it.

There's no way there won't be a Sorc. type character and the Paladin is one of the more popular classes from Diablo 2 so both are most likely a given. At least in some sort of form.:P

I also am glad that he said that he thinks its a bad idea to not have some way of re-specing your character. That was a real ball buster for first time players in Diablo 2.

Diablo 3 is much much darker, gory, and violent....not to mention faster, epic gameplay.
This screenshot for example, not as much zoomed in but still zoomed in a bit, has very few similarities to WoW
Please STFU and GTFO if you can honesly not come up with anything else to say about the game.

Both the Barbarian and Witch Doctor were damn fun to watch and for the visuals, it's too cartoony like WoW???? Because of the outdoor areas having sunlight and grassy fields?
C'mon now, it's much darker then WoW, much more violent, and much more epic. Also for saying it's so drastically different looking from Diablo 1 and 2.....2d to 3d, that is all. Everything was hand drawn in the first 2 games, Diablo 3 has everything rendered in 3d now so obviously it looks much different but its still the same old diablo that we've come to love.
And the combat for being a quick showing of the early barbarian and witch doctor was damn impressive. The barbarian unleashed the freakin beast and the witch doctor had very unique abilities with the plaque spreading and wierd demonic pets and the wall of zombies was the sweetest thing ever!
The end battle with the boss shows just how dark and epic this game is and it will only get better.
