DIABLOW WILL BE A MMOW
I said it 2 years ago in many "ZOMG WOW WILL NEVER DIE" threads
WoW is now feeling the pain of AoC and soon to be WAR and Star Wars and Fallout 3 / Farcry 2 / Episode 3 (along with Portal 2) {all together as these are single player FPS, but are great enough to cause the casuals to finally flee WoWzor}
Blizzard knows they need a next gen mmo (oh IDK like what they have stated in press releases saying "Each franchise will get a MMO") and just the name Diablo added on to that next gen mmo will completely remove any momentum the previously stated MMOs had
/end
NOW for on topic: Xfire could be among one of the many sites being guided by the invisable hand of the Blizzard Propaganda Machine (Just like MD and Umaro are)
That said
DIABLO WILL BE A MMO

MMO WILL BE A DIABLO
The only damn reason WoW is losing some subscribers right now is because all the new content thats been added to TBC is for end game rading guilds only. Once Wotlk comes out they will all come crawling back to the game. I remember it being the same way before TBC, all my WoW buddies have taken a break from the game and blah blah blah, then the day TBC came out, everyone in my friends list was filled was online.
Now for all your damned 10 year old crying of Diablo III being an MMO, Blizzard is not stupid. They will make Diablo III and have it be the tradition hack n slash genre everyone has come to love. Diablo would make a great MMO but Blizzard won't go against popular vote against the fans and do a MMO of the Diablo universe before a new traditional Diablo game is done and done.
This also reminds me of all the morons spouting that Starcraft 2 was going to be World of Starcraft.....that turned out well....oh wait! It was a RTS....the genre that the fans wanted the game to be in.
Now please get the hell out of these forums and stop giving Diablo fans a bad name.

While that's a pretty harsh way to put it, I agree 100%. With Blizcon being 'close enough', we're pretty much guaranteed to not have anything big Diablo 3 related until the event.....almost 4 months from now........and on top of it, they are basically saying they have no damn clue when this patch will be relased and they don't even bother to tell us if what they are adding to the game is even worth a damn.

I say keep it at 8 that way it pleases everyone simply because you can limit the amount of people you want in your game. If you wanted 4 that's fine, and if you want 8, go for it.
Another reason why 4 is kind of an off number is there would always be 1 class you couldn't have in the game which is wierd...like having a 3 player Ninja Turtles game....
Set it to a cap of 8 again and let the people decide how many they want, best solution.

If it's been stated then my bad, but here for people to take a second look

As for a weight system, that would just be adding a different problem in exchange for getting rid of another one. I sure as hell wouldn't want to kill a boss and see armor drop only to say I am carrying to much and have to go back to town and switch crap around and mess with the stash, etc. I have also seen nothing about Blizzard adding a weight system anywhere....
Ha! I just realised something that I haven't seen mentioned, if you look at the item icons, you can see they have different color glows and my guess is that it's the quality of the items.

Holy crap, read before you post. He said nothing about rune abilities just the terms 'power' and 'multi-strike' are in Diablo II and that they were used on the Diablo III runes when they first showed them and now that they changed the names, he prefers the original ones.

The April fools jokes more then likely were done in a matter of a couple of hours using slightly modified models and special effects that are already in the game so this talk about them wasting time and need to release new info when they just did in the Blizzcast (while not a ton of info or as astronomical as a new class but was still new info despite).
Seriously, if the only thing you have to say is "WoW this", "WoW that" and "Stop wasting time and give me the game now"..... just stfu and stop posting until you can actually say something that isn't 100% Blizzard bashing and bitching.
Blizzard is not wasting time and it should be evident enough by the mass amount of interface changes alone that were shown in the Blizzcast, stop acting like this little April fools joke set them back 10 months.
On a side note, I think the funniest part about the whole Archivest joke is that in every ability preview, he manages to get killed. Pretty damn funny watching that old man nuke the living hell of those goats to lol.

They answered a lot of smaller and technical type questions that have been going around since they first showed the game and from what I am seeing, they are doing a very good job.
I like the skill tree setup, it has a lot of well done artwork with most of the icons being something you would never see in WoW. While it may be the setup that WoW uses, do remember that WoW's talent tree was based off of Diablo II's skill tree. If Diablo III came out before WoW and had the exact same setup, nobody would be complaining.
The ui looks very nice as well, a very simple way to make sure you can take in the artwork put into the item portraits while not having to worry about only being able to hold 4 pieces of armor/weapons, etc.
The Fury system for the Barbarian seems like a great setup, Barbarians using mana in Diablo II was probably one of the dumber aspects of the game so I fully welcome this new system.
I also like the idea of having as many different types of enemy deaths as possible. People saying they are wasting time by doing so and that you would never notice the different deaths when plowing through waves of guys.....way to go on thinking you speak for everyone that will play Diablo III....seriously...
More variety, the better. More variety = more replayability and replayability is Diablo's specialty. Just think of the fun Wizards and Witch Doctors can have with all the different magic elements resulting in different deaths.
All in all this Blizzcast, while not a barrage of new info was given about the game, put my mind to rest on plenty of things I was wondering about the game and I am happy that they revealed what they did.
One more note, the new screenshots are great and really do seem to have more of a darker atmosphere to them which is a good thing.
Can't wait to see more on this game!
