but ultimately, in this game you cant even control your gear, so just use what you can get - anything w/ +cold. ideally, the helm is the most replaceable piece, if you have a Quetz, Cold Andy's, etc. But since you do have Quetz and just 1 spare piece after that, you got quite a ways to farm before you can REALLY worry about your supplemental Jade gear
No, for pet wd helm should be Mask of Jeram and nothing else if you want to be effective. If you want to have full zuni set, then it's probably better if you go for boots + chest + mojo. Since you won't be in the middle of the fight, damage reduction is not that crucial as it is for jade build.
Is that Mask of Jeram supposed to show a static +75% pet dmg? Or is that new to 2.1 and Blizz just let it slip in the game guide w/o telling anyone?
For Jade:
Belt: Hwoj Wrap for survival, Harrington/Witching Hour for damage
Offhand: Uhkapian serves incredible survival.
Your elemental damage should always aim for cold damage as it's the main damage resource of Jade.
A strong weapon means a slow & strong 1H weapon and it's Sunkeeper.
How "mandatory" is +cold dmg for Jade doctors? I have 5 pieces and am thinking of farming for a RoRG. But I have no +cold dmg gear (except the crafted lego axe) and am not sure I want to farm for the new items/enchant mats. I know the DoT skills are cold-based, but...
However, I am torn between Flash Fire and Pyrogeist for Firebomb. I know Flash Fire gets the love on the forums, and it does seem to do the most blanket dmg. But Pyrogeist is nice for single targets (rare occurrence, i know) and mobility/survivability (more common). I kinda like just targetting the ground around a corner and just chilling out while my 2 pets do their work. It's somewhat lazy, but is nice in dangerous situations - map construction or just cluttered elites - b/c it allows me to get out of LOS and still do dmg, whereas Flash Fire doesn't, at least not in all situations.
So I ask you guys, have any preference? Any additional input regarding the runes? I guess it just comes down to weighing the pros and cons of each...?
I read alot that +Fetish Army is nice for a build like mine - especially since my build is focused on max Fetish Army efficiency. But would it be better to enchant my gear for +Dogs or Acid Cloud dmg since those are constant sources of dmg? I currently have 4 slots w/ re-rollable +skill dmg, except 1 is a belt and therefore limited.

My only input would to have Thorns of the Invoker set be under Crusader. I know it gives no bonuses to Crusaders, but I read elsewhere that it was their Theme set. Makes sense given they have a Thorns passive and achievement.
edit: oh and maybe add "Theme set" to the class sets that aren't class-only restricted, since that is apparently what they are called.
This just started Monday 4/14, but my sound effects don't all play during combat, especially heavy combat. My audio drivers are up to date - NVIDIA High Def Audio on Windows 7.
Again, the sound was just fine before, there have been no patches, so I dunno what the deal is. Imagine a DH, Wiz, Crusader, and WD in a party. If all 4 are doing some skills, let's say Rapid Fire, Electrocute, Bombardment, and Poison Dart, I'd only hear Electrocute w/ Rapid Fire coming in and out, and maybe a subtle noise from Bombardment and no Poison Dart sound at all. Previously, I could hear them all in their full effect.
Anyway, I posted on Blizz forums and of course there was no reply. Since my audio drivers are updated and sound is fine for all other media (haven't played other games, though), I assume it's a D3 thing. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes (channels changing doesnt seem to matter)?
edit: i should clarify, even when solo, a lot of skill sfx are cut out, doesn't even have to be heavy combat.
