My suggestions concerning trading features and pvp features.
PvP- We need a more focused system here, this cat and dog chasing around maps gets old, fast. Hardcore mode pvp is such a waste, you work your butt off to play russian rollette with someone of equal or greater power, reward?.. Gear; loss..?;everything.
I think it needs to be refined with a better system, why can't gladiator type arenas be thrown in, or game types with pvp objectives, maybe races; like beating another player in a race that deals with killing tons of really difficult bosses in a set time frame?.. The game is after all a fast paced hack'n'slash. Why not have different game types setup for pvp, or npcs you could go to an engage in these events by talking to them and choosing where you'd like to compete. Like for instance- Be the last man standing in a deathmatch, where the spin is. You have to survive against the opposing players, and an onslaught of helacious demons that are there willing to tear you limb from limb- Reward, possibly amazing loot? Because it doesn't have to cater to all those people who wish to pvp, cause again it's arena style, the strongest player or most strategically skilled player will stand victorious.
In reality there just has to be more than, player-x, + kills player-y.. = bragging rights and an ear, or gear if you're on hardcore mode. There needs to be something more engaging to the player. That's the jist of what my opinions on pvp as it was in diablo 2 and where I think pvp should go in diablo 3.
Trading system-
Bartering is outdated, there really needs to be a set currency even if this game is co-op. Why can't there be caravan of sorts that you can drop items off at that you want to sell to other players, and any other player in the game could go to the caravan and purchase your item for a set price, or bid on the item. A mailing system needs to be implemented some how. By now I hope everyone realizes that a game like diablo, you sure as hell create more than one character. And many a time do players find some amazingly useful item that doesn't fit the character they found it on but would greatly suit another one in their arsenal. Maybe change gold with a lower metal?; keep it but have it worth more in it's respects. Like for instance 1000 copper = 1 gold, make copper heavily readily available like gold drops were in diablo 2.
Diablo's main flaws were these two systems, and I think it's great that they've been brought up for discussion. I know my ideas aren't wholely original ( or that's what I'm expecting ), but I believe they're noteworthy. Diablo 2 was and still is one of my most favorite games of all time, and if Diablo 3 can pick up on a couple of places where diablo 2 lacked. It can definitely be up there as one of the greatest video games ever made. Not many games can make you feel like a god in it's respects. Diablo did just that, made you feel more than human in the game world set in sanctuary. Keeping the formula from diablo 2 to diablo 3 is a great plus, but lets throw some more calculations in there.
Sorry for some of the mangled sentences, I wrote this at 2:30 in the morning; after coming back from the midnight movie release of deathrace.

My main question deals with item balancing, mostly runewords, Are we going to see runewords in DIII; How are runewords going to differ from unique loot( same scale, balanced at a more powerful point, etc. )
edit: And another one; Item sets; are we going to be seeing those at all?, and if so are they going to play a more significant part in game play, ( most of the item sets from d2 couldn't compare to the caliber of even some of the mildest runewords )
Any thought on the subject as far as item balance goes and how they're working that out is what I'm mostly getting at. Feel free to pick my question apart. -

Geometry Wars is a fantastically fun game that can totally pull you in for hours >_< you've been warned buddy.
I think every point he made is what I've been agreeing with since the gameplay video and the rants have come about. I think it's dumb that people think that diablo 2 had no color and it was super dark and gritty yada yada yada. It had plenty of color people, it was 2d so you're prebulescent minds can only take in that little bit. I swear to god, those of you whining about the art direction need to stay in grade school. I really don't think you'd be able to handle the real world yet, you'd freak out at how grass turns green, rainbows form after a rainfall, and hell even after a fire can devastate a whole forest; that forest grows back more lush and green than before- oh snap.
The D3 lead designer already stated that to go with an all grayed out setup would totally ruin the game, the lighting, everything. Shadows would look totally mangeled and it wouldn't look appealing or fun at all. Thats right people " FUN " mmmhm I said it. I'm pretty pissed off at the fact that because of all this art ranting bullsh*t that the lead art director on D3 left, but nontheless they're keeping it goin.
I was really hoping to get ahold of blizzcon tickets this year to go and see some of this early D3 footage, but my jacka** buddy that was handling ordering my ticket ( work for the lose, I was afraid I wouldn't have a chance to get to my computer i time to order ) , had his computer literally crash when he had them in his damn checkout cart, and sure as all hell when he went back to order again they were gone, so he goes out finds a scalper buddy of his, buys his own ticket an blows me off, sigh.

As far as temp bans go that's with the first thing, just try not to log into the game right away cause it'll just double the time, it's pretty dumb. HOPEFULLY blizzard tweaks all that b/s out with the new battle.net revision v.2-

I bought a 2004 kia rio cinco off my parents for $5000 an loaded it with a $1000 sound system, runs like a go cart but gets 37-40mpg so the performance to overall cost ratio eased me over a shit ton. GL in your vehicle endeavours.
I'd say go with the altima though, less insurance, better gas mileage ( better bang for the buck), and sorta classier, with that cobalt that turbo alone would sky rocket insurance premiums for the darn thing.
Also about your window tinting make sure you look into your state laws on that, I know some states only allow 70% or 30% on rear windows an none on the front, most states don't allow any tint on your from window. Good ole' homework gotta love it.

When they announced this game, I was in awe, I don't want a diablo 2 remake, I want a Diablo 3, I want new. Guys the lore states it's been twenty years, can't a tree not grow in twenty years or some grass turn a wee bit greener? I'm getting really sick of all these people giving world of warcraft players such a hard time, whether you like it or not wow is a great video game, it captivated me for 3 years, but even at that 3 diablo held me at a good 5 or 6.
We've only seen a 20 minute game play trailer, which looked astounding might I add, We haven't seen the latter- You all were so eager to fish for information as to a possible diablo announcement and now that it's at your feet your pissed for what? Some color, better graphics? Cause you're pissed you have to upgrade your piece of shit pentium 4 pc with 512mb ram to something more modern? Cause you're afraid? I'm sorry, but thats not our problem thats your own insecurity playin part there folks. I could only imagine the angst you guys would have if diablo would of been announced as an mmo(LOL). It's so funny to see how immature some of you can really be as to attacking one others beliefs to defend your own righteous judgements.
In my honest opinion even from that brief trailer we saw, Diablo 3 looks nothing like World of Warcraft even in it's current state:
WoW:
Diablo 3:
So say diablo 3 looks like wow one more time. And I'll utterly laugh out loud at you then pretty much put you on perma-ignore.
Like others have said if you want diablo 2, then stay with that video game, again it's a video game only a video game and will forever be just a game. If you want diablo 3 then you have to look at how far organizations have come in the past 8 or 9 years, and what leaps and bounds of technological advances have been made to give us what we have today, and take pride in it be happy, and be geared for when this game is released, cause I know I'm definately going to bank my vacation time for the day this game does come out cause I sure as hell will be so deprived of sleep that I wouldn't be of any use in the workplace after getting through a few days of diablo 3 and what it has in store for us.
And please again, stop with the attacks on other video game players cause I'm sure as hell that if I sat any of you nay sayers down for a few hours on world of warcraft you'd have fun with it, and don't lie. That game is fun, albeit time consuming but what game isn't? The game's mechanics in its self intirety are just plain fun.
And if any of you whiners still want to flame then I'm going to give you a congratulatory medal for being a complete prick. nuff said you little internet bullies you.

My overall opinion on hellgate: london is don't bother, it gets way to repetitive, and ends up losing it's fun factor after an act or two. If you want an mmo(ish?) game thats decently fun, and are old enough to participate it in ( does insue some mild nudity ) you should look into age of conan. The game is definately a blast if you've got a niche for barbaric bologna.
