    Heyo,

    I dont know if others feel the same but to me the Trials to determine the level I have to start in, is a burden and extremely boring!

    Everytime Im out of ranked greater rift stones Im like meh, gotta do several trials again :/
    The worst thing about it, is losing a round because of single minions running away.

    Further more it always feels like a waste of time because you dont get loot! This game is all about loot (and some exp^^) but all you get is some gold (seriously who needs gold? :D ) and xp.

    Id love to see a change there.
    Let ppl chose which level they want to start in as long as they´ve finished it at least once.
    The very first greater rift of a class could start at rank 1 and continue the way it does now (upgrading the key depending on how fast you were cleaning the grift).

    Ive returned after some time and need your help in choosing what amulet I should use and how I should change one value.

    My stats (without an amu) are as follows:



    So I assume Id take the Kaladeiscope because ot the poison immunity but do I go for fire damage or a socket? Or do I use the Ouroboros and go for fire damage or crit damage? :/

    Thank you for your answer, but please let me correct you and maybe help you instead.

    Hydra does damage based on your weapon damage, which is why 2handers are better than 1hand+offhand (+ Im using the poison orb as a third gem, which affects weapon damage as well). 17.1 damage gain is a lot better than my 18% fire damage on the offhand.

    You mentioned just 1hand weapons. None of them is better than the Serpent Sparker because of the second hydra. And finding one of the rarest 2hand weapons (The Furnace) is surely NOT done within a day.

    The fact that Im considering using the Crushbane is because of its very high base damage! Most 2handers (besides The Furnace) have between 2000 and 2500 min damage.

    Im sorry that I might not have been clear enough but the only reason Im not sure, is because I dont know if the damage increase will be better than a second hydra

    its me again.

    I use a Serpent Sparker with Firebirds offhand and I found a good 2hander:



    Its pretty hard to decided if I use my only Rama gift and switch to the 2hander for my hydra built. Id sacrifice a second hydra for more damage. Since the base damage of that weapon is pretty nice it might be worth it,

    Its like having a BIS iteam I dont want to use because it feels too good.

    I dont see why its cheating to combine certain items to get an advantage that is working as intended.

    Man, your using the most op set in the game. Why is that ok but double unity + relic is cheating?

    Seems like cheating to roll through a grift without really doing damage yourself

    So if I use Zei's Stone of Vengeance and place the hydra right next to a minion, the damage of the hydra will be the same.

    The Firebird dot, my blizzard dot and the blackhole however will add the extra damage.

    Btw: I see 2 minions in a grift and dont want to lose time by killing them, so I keep on running but leave a hydra there. Lets say it does enough dmg to kill them while im far far away (but still in the same level). Will this fill the grift bar?`Or does the hydra stop doing stuff because Im too far away?

    I know its a stupid question but I tried this pretty often and Im never sure if the bar grew or if it was my imagination :D

    Hey,

    I currently use an amulett with the following stats:

    18% Fire Damage
    646 Int
    9 CC
    97% CD (rolled it pre patch)

    Now I found an Ouroboros with these stats:

    737 Int
    575 Armor (to reroll)
    9,5 CC
    Socket

    Now Im not sure what to do. Usually I would roll the armor for fire damage, but 100 CD is pretty tough to lose.

    I currently have
    43.1 CC
    372 CD
    93 Fire Damage

    The question is, if a third legendary socket is worth losing CD or Fire Damage

    Im using the gem and in my experience it doesnt refresh itself and any kind of damage that is abler to trigger anything, does trigger the poison effect.

    So if ur using black hole for example, it does apply the gem toxin.

    Hey.

    does anyone know how exactly the hydra works?

    Is the damage based on the time i place the hydra or always based on your current dps?
    This would determine if I recast the hydra early for a better position even if my bane of powerful buff (for example) just ran out.

    It doesnt procc anything (loh for example), right?

    Tasker and Theo only improves non rune and blazing hydra, correct?

    I still dont understand why ppl would play ladder anyway. 24/7 gamers will achieve everything first and even nerds like me wont be able to compete with students or part time workers or whatever.

    You are just silly if you think this is the case. I'd love a link to your armory to see how you've actually set up, but put it like this - you gain Blackthornes and Tal Rasha's using the RoRG+Unity, but not sure which pieces you are using. Let me put up the comparison just to show what I mean:

    You use RoRG + Unity, Tal Rasha, and Blackthornes (4+3 set if I understood correct).
    From using RoRG you gain:
    10% elite dmg reduction.
    25% gold find.
    Tal Rasha Meteors.

    For equipping the ring. Compare this to 20% elemental damage and 30% elite dmg for a SoJ. It is very unlikely that the meteors from Tal Rasha makes up for this, and the dmg reduc from Blackthornes becomes largely useless with Unity.
    Of course, you have to activate the different elements, so you'd need something like TF+Fire build+Enchantress with a cold wep and arcane skills. Not too hard, I guess.

    But let's put your many set bonuses up against my "solo"-items. You're using 3 set of Tal rasha (Helm, Chest, Belt, Neck, Offhand) and 2 set of Blackthornes (Belt, Legs, Chest, Boots, Neck).
    I assume that you want to be using Tal rasha chest+Helm+Neck (OH is rather weak compared to %dmg ones/mirrorball). That means you get to use Blackthornes feet,legs, belt (2 of them).

    For a fire wizard, which is one of the stronger specs atm, that means you lose:
    Cindercoat (20% fire dmg).
    2 out of these:
    Hexing Pants - Ice Climbers - Witching Hour.
    25% dmg moving - immunity to immobilize/movement impairing effects - 50% crit dmg belt.

    It also means that you are unable to use one of the OP-as-fuck neck's that makes you immune to an element, now that I think about it (personally have poison one).
    So essentially, you're trading:
    5% element dmg, 100 all ress, 2 arcane power/sec, meteors.
    10% elite dmg+reduc, 250 vit, 25% gold find.

    For:
    40% element dmg, immunity to an element, 30% elite dmg, 25% dmg/Immunity to immobilze and movement impairing/50% crit dmg (2 of 3).
    Make your choise, but assuming multiple set bonuses are better is just dumb. Single legendaries can easily outdo set bonuses.

    Well I dont want to be impolite so I´ll just say this:

    Blackthornes: The extra 10% damage reduction from Elites is a nice to have, but surely not mandatory. But as I said, they are in as a filler for Vyr pants (got the boots and the gloves though)

    My extra Set is Aughilds and I would have used Crimsons as well if the rolls I got from crafting werent so bad :(
    Then I got these really nice gloves from Kadala (was rolling for Magefists) and my plans shifted.
