    Funny enough, it's actually Eastern Sun that I am trying to get this resolved to play.

    With ES being an extrenal .exe, I'm not sure this won't conflict or... work? But, I'll give it a try. If not, I can always do a clean install and start over.

    EDIT:Well, it definitely helped. My fiancee's hunch that it was a v-sync problem seems to be pretty close. I'm having the issue much less frequently with that option enabled, but of course that locks me out of the content I actually want. ;________;

    EDIT2:
    Alright, I seem to have found an... well, at least partial solve. If you right click on the shortcut and go to properties, where it says 'Target' (the same field that you can append with -w to run in windowed mode) you can append -vsync which forces v-Sync and solves about 80% of the 'hanging' issues. It still does it a bit, much much less frequently.

    Between Compatibility Mode, a DirectDraw or 3dfxGlide Wrapper and this -vsync mode, I think that will resolve most issues. The options below compatibility mode (640x480 Resolution, Disable Desktop Stuff, etc.) doesn't seem to help at all. So, there you go. We can all add that to our 'list of fixes for D2 on Windows 7'.

    Hi, sorry to be the random-guy-showing-up-and-Necroing-stuff but, well, I'm having this issue and nothing seems to solve it.

    I've tried running both a directdraw wrapper and, now, the glide wrapper listed in this thread along with the generic 'compatibility mode' line Blizzard gives me.

    Any ideas? >_<
