whatever the countdown is about...it has to be better than the news of the new mortal kombat versus dc game from midway.

i think magistrate understood me better...i think i maybe chose the wrong words to say what i mean. i wasnt trying to put words in your mouth either magistrate.

next week will be the 5 week mark from when medievaldragon told us. there is still time...also a patch can take longer than expected. those of you who played neverwinter should understand that.

lol gamma11, just because it would be the same engine and all doesnt mean it would be the same game. similar maybe but not the same...imo i would like a game that seems like its a diablo game and not have a whole new feel.

i personally think another expansion would be awesome...i could care less about the "in with the new out with the old". better graphics and all that is great but im satisfied with LOD graphics. allthough yes,they could polish up the graphics atleast a little but i think the engine is fine. all of us still playing LOD i think would be happy if an expansion would come out. imo...i wouldnt even care if d3 was an expansion and im sure if it was you people would still buy it

edit...oh,and about revamping. i agree to an extent...but see i dont know where you people are getting that LOD is a dead horse? alot of people still play and im one of them. as for tehsticklemans remark to an expansion not making money...i dont get where you think it wouldnt make as much? like i said before people would still buy it...i know i would. you might think it would be a waist but there are alot of hardcore diablo fans out there. besides,blizzard has enough money to slack off if they wanted.

its been awhile since ive been reading up on this post but i was thinking...what about some of the merc classes? what class is the act 3 merc anyway...is kinda like a sorc/fighter? i think it would also be cool to be able to change the classes rather than change the merc all together.
other than that...angels and demons i guess would be alright as characters but i would rather see them as high lvl mercs. i dont know about you but i want a character to build up...not a godly like character that should already be powerful to some extent.

i agree that the isometric view is needed but you should be able to change it up if so desired. like neverwinter nights and so on.

this is good news to come back to. i havent been here in a long while. whatever the patch is i hope its worth it.

i dont use mods at all and i got the same message before so i dont think its because of the mod.

you know that pic of the angel totally has d2 similarites...the sword handle reminds me of the rez monster on the arreats monster page and the angel herself reminds me of the sorceress a bit.

obviously wow has more variety...its a p2p mmorpg,d2 isnt.
the two games are clearly not on the same page.As for my opinion on the topic d3 vs wow,d3 as far as we know doesnt exist yet so its impossible to give an answer but because i am a diablo fan i go d3 aslong as its free.

i dunno,it would be weird for me to play a diablo game without acts but way points i couldnt do without them. a transportation system is a must,it would suck horribly to have to walk a character from area to area instead of just teleporting or using a waypoint...i would hate to go through the whole game just to do an end boss run...if they take acts away its not that bad but they need something to replace waypoints and teleports if they get taken out...maybe something like a recall stone similar to nwn or a recall potion like bg:dark alliance.

maple had a good idea with a cystal shield...i figured i would try a different approach to that idea and make a spiked or horned crystal shield...idk what ya think?


Edit* heres another shield,i have no idea what to name any of my concepts...i see it as a plated shield with runes on it lol

heres an idea...why dont people with the software and skills do some of the other peoples ideas if they cant do it that well?
I myself can understand why it wouldnt be fair...because i myself can draw on paper better than i can draw or make something on the pc...unfortunatly i dont have a scanner.also,i know alot of people arent gifted drawers but you can still get the concept of there ideas and convert them into a 3 dimentional masterpiece.

for instance i forgot who did the axe drawing in the weapon contest but imagine if doppel or someone remade it using his skill and software...it might be a bit different from the drawing but it would be original and more appealing.

hahah lions...i guess it would be better than a badger like in bg dark alliance.
