Okay, just have a few questions for Bashiok (or anyone that can answer them...)
1. Bashiok, Are you allowed to look at ALL areas of the Diablo 3 development, or are there features and parts that the developers keep to themselves?
2. Do you have any other role in the Diablo 3 development team, or are you solely a PR rep?
3. When will get another update regarding the game. Not just minor, but something big... like a new class, seeing as you already have done more??
4. Is there any more development on a Diablo movie, or is it an old idea never to live again?
5. Where is your avatar from? Is this an in-game character?
Thankyou, You don't have to answer ALL of them (but I will get annoyed!!)...
Well none of Blizzard's games needed super high specced computers anyway... so hopefully i can keep my Macbook (intel core 2 duo, 4gb ram, 250gb hdd), and if not i will probably need a new one by then anyway...
a) dell has alright computers
alienware is expensive
p.s. is this in the right place (i mean this thread) shouldnt it be general disscussion
yep you're right, and who cares if it is in the wrong place, it is close enough to being about D3 (as we ALL want it). So just settle down and get back to waiting for some news from Bashiok.
But if you install Windows you won't have Mac OSX! So what's the purpose to get a MacOSX machine if you don't intent to use MacOSX... And you should wait and see Windows7...
Aha!! Obviously you have no clue as to what I was speaking of, Bootcamping an OS (XP, Vista, 7) will install that OS onto a partition of the main hard drive, so that you can have the wonderful world of Mac AND be able to Counterstrike your weekends away...
I still don't understand why to install Windows into a mac pc... Just to pay more for the same machine?
Well you may want to access applications which the developers have been to lazy to create a mac version or port, mainly games. However the Mac OSX does support many other games and alternative applications (and I find it much nicer). It wouldn't be the same machine because you will also have Mac OSX, whereas if you buy a PC you can't install Leopard onto it (unless you have real skillz).
+Diablo 1, 2 & 3 will ALL work natively on Mac's without bootcamping, porting or hacking.
Actually, in any normal situation, I'd agree with you - Apple makes decent computers, and their operating system is worlds better than Windows (then again, so is my cat's litter box).
In this situation, though, because the laptop will be the OP's primary computer and because the OP is a gamer, I would go with a gaming company - Asus or MSI being the top two who make laptops, in my book.
Besides, it's actually a fair bit easier to get a PC and install linux on it than it is to get a Mac and install Windows on it. Linux being fairly similar to OS X, that route is the way I'd go, as the MSI and Asus laptops at newegg.com are cheaper than macbooks. Also, as linux is free, you won't have to pay for the second OS.
Yes, however the new Macbooks and Macbook Pro's can run Diablo 1, 2 and 3 without buying a new game, as they are on the same disc. And installing Windows on my Macbook was a breeze, everything was done for me and I was playing Half Life 2 in minutes... However if he really doesn't want a Mac, I'd suggest an MSI (like you said), I used to have one and it was brilliant (Until I discovered Macs)...
Yes, so the two different 'lores' are from two different point of views, this means that they could be from two different people whom had different names for the same monster (the Khazra/Goatmen)...
well, yes most probably those that actually know how to play the game and how to pick out errors, because if they didn't know how to then the beta wouldn't be any different to the release and we would get a buggy game...
So everyone keeps on going on about how the Goatmen and the Khazra are from different places, hence they are different. This is true, however it does not mean that the Khazra and the Goatmen are different, they could just be different species or types. Such as different types of Elephants are found in different areas of the world (Weird example, I know...). So yeah, they could be cousins in the Animal Kingdom (Or Demonic Kingdom [??])
Well, that would be good, however Blizzard doesn't usually do Betas. If they did it would probably be a nomination and they would only choose a certain few. The beta testers will not only have to play the games but will usually have to give detailed accounts of bugs and errors.

Exactly, they are animals (or demons) so of course they have cousins that are similar, such as different species of cows...

get a Macbook or Macbook Pro (preferably a Pro) and bootcamp XP/Vista.
Seeing as you are going to Uni this would be perfect, and it will play all the games (maybe not Crysis, being a Laptop and all)...
