Hello everyone, this build was inspired from the old school UO(Ultima Online MMO) Mage. It's basicly a rotation build where you lay down your Expo(Explosive Blast+Time Bomb) teleport into the group of mobs and execute your Frost Nova followed up by a quick Meteor. If most of the mobs aren't dead then finish them off with ROF/Electrocute. I set teleport to use reversal so if you get stuck after your Meteor lands you can just Revserse out of the situation.
ANyways it's most likely not perfect but it seems really fun to play, the delayed blast on Expo really stuck with me for some reason so i'm trying to incorporate the spell into other builds! If you have any suggestions or just want to tell me how bad it is just let me know!
Almost certainly, but then you'd probably be better off going with Obliterate or Chain Reaction rather than Time Bomb because you won't really be getting the mine laying tactic out of the skill.
Teleport in, FN, Expo and then Meteor will do a fair chunk of burst damage, especially with Bone Chill on FN.
Time Bomb might be good if you plan on teleporting in, casting FN, and then running away to Meteor.
But yes, it is a fair strategy for a close range Wizard.

I was tweaking the build some and discarded Electrocute for Spectral Blades(sense I will be in melee range anyway for a short period of time). So now it looks like this ---------> http://us.battle.net...QYkh!abW!cYbcYY
Exactly, I was already on planning to use Teleport offensively because of the Reversal rune. The combo this build allows seems to be pretty wicked but I am lacking defence which hopefully Blur+gear will help out with. I don't expect this build to work in Inferno either, but I would like to see it in HC mode.
What about my Passives? Do you think Cold Blooded is worth the slot sense I have 3 ice spells(ROF/FN/Meteor)(Comment rune)?
I don't like Electrocute - Arc Lightning. From the rune effects video, it appears to have about the same area of effect as Spectral Blade, but it does significantly less damage.
This build seems like it'll be great at taking out tightly packed groups, but you don't seem to have a lot of ways to deal with single targets or sparsely packed ranged attackers.
Can ROF/Spectral Blades not deal with the ST mobs? With the Cold Blooded Passive I would think it would do enough DPS...I could be totally wrong though =(
Cold Blooded is a good idea for this build but only because you're using Comet and Ray of Frost. Explosive Blast and Spectral Blades will only be effected by your Frost Nova rune.
But since you're combining Cold Blooded with Frost Nova's rune you're going to be doing 35% more damage from Comet and Ray of Frost which is pretty good.
One thing to think about is that Meteor and Ray of Frost are quite expensive, so you might need to get an AP generator on your Signature spell, and you will definately need your signature spell to be single target.

Yes Emmo you are correct! I added Siphon to my Spectral Blades to recover AP faster, that should help out with performing the combo when CD's are ready everytime hopefully.
You might not need it because the cooldowns are quite long and you'll likely just be spamming your Signature in between - but it's definately something to consider.
Your signature would probably be best being a ranged skill like Magic Missile or Electrocute because during your cooldowns you'll want to be ranged.
Also, your Evocation passive could be switched with Critical Mass. Since you'll be hitting a lot of mobs in one go, you're likely to get a lot of criticals if you decide to go that way. More food for thought.

Thanks a ton man! Just talking with you made my build soooo much for viable. That is my favorite thing about the Wizard class though, there are so many different ways to play it. =)

So your plan of teleporting after casting it won't hit anything.

Teleport in, Explosive Blast, Frost Nova, Meteor, possible a couple of seconds of Ray of Frost with that rune and then Teleport out.
Whatever you go, it will likely work quite well, just be aware you're lacking in defenses so watch yourself.
And no worries, happy to help.
