Starcraft you simply MUST be playing with a friend. And I usually do co-op against the computer. It's surprisingly fun. Because I suck, the computer's level of play is enough to give me a challenge. Up to a point, however. Cause once you survive the first two offensives, you're usually in the clear with defending your base.
I don't have any friends that play StarCraft, they're all into their FarCry 2's and GTA IV's on the 360.

You know what sucks? I just got one of those late night epiphanies about the futility of gaming culture. Even if I did play, I could never hope of it ever being as alive to me as it once was, could never hope for the same things I could have 8 years (now 9, I guess) ago. It's depressing, really, since I've played it for so long. I think it really is dead to me now. That's a very sad realization for me, since it was basically my childhood. Oh well.
Dude, make a new thread and I'll be happy to discuss it there. I'm sure it's a topic relevant to a lot of people.

Man I'm wanting to play Brood Wars really bad actually, but I can't find my disk anywhere.
I'll PM you my account and pass Hnk and you can have your way with my characters.
I've tried to get into StarCraft a couple of times, but the connection issues and players leaving the game straightforwardly pissed me off to the point that I never played it more than every 6 months for about a week. I never even mastered each class to its' full potential, at least by heart. This is pretty much why I'm looking forward to StarCraft II, as those issues are probably going to be resolved.

There was. But some weirdo came along and deleted all of our account names off of the first post. Probably someone who isn't even playing the game right now. Not sure who though.
You have no idea how many spam messages I got because of having my account there. People asking me for items or to join the group.

Cause I've gotten spammed a lot this way over Battle.net, primarily asking if I have items.

Hmm i believe i have a few we could add:
Q) Am I limited to one character?
A) No. In fact most of us have more than one character.
Q) I have a high-level character already in UsWest. Can I use that character in the group?
A) No. Although you MAY be asked to use that character to help uber/reclaim bodies. Try to devote at least one4 character wholly to our group.
Q) What is your view on Baal running bots?
A) You may level at your leisure outside the group. But you MUST quest within the group in a private game. (In the future we plan on getting our own baal-running bot to be used by the group and special guests.)
That's all i can think of.
Um, no bots, and I disagree with the second one.

2. Baalbots, yeah.
3. Yes.
And plus, even if there were hacks, it is a private group...

LOL, actually I couldn't tell, so I played it on the safe side.
But yeah, I'm thinking about jumping in. School's proving to be easier than the reputation it earned.
