Since we know that they have two unannounced projects at least, I dare say the mmo won't be diablo. So either Starcraft or something entirely new and diablo will be kept as a normal rpg.
To be honest I'd like the idea of a Starcraft mmofps
How do you know that there are two?

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Exactly Siay. Blizz didn't start with MMO's though. They start off small. If you want to fund an MMO you want to make sure you have tons of people who are gunna start playing right off the get-go. Not to mention, Blizzard will finish their old franchises before making another one, I'm sure.
Well their franchises started before the year 2000 so I doubt any company would start off with MMO's at that time.

They would start it off as something much smaller than an MMO.
I don't see why. Many companies start off with MMO's and are very successful.

MMO's cost a lot of money so it would have to be something that they KNOW will pull in tons and tons of people before kicking it off.
Who said that the MMO will not be the factor that will pull in those tons and tons of people before kicking off with something else?

They'd need a fan base first which a new franchise wouldn't get.
Wrong, they do not need a fan base, as they already have one. A Blizzard fanbase, not just fanbases for all of their games. A new franchise definitely could get a big fanbase, so I don't know where you're coming at with this argument.

Not without the proper lore based on other games. All I know is it would have to be Diablo or Starcraft related. But because SC is already gunna be pulling in the people for RTS That only leaves Diablo.
Why could it not be a new franchise? All of these are a decade or older by now. Maybe something new?
