Well... that sounds like a RAM problem^^ Did you catch the BCCode of the BSOD? But even without the BCCode it sounds like a RAM problem... you tested both sticks in the same slot and only one of them gave you the errors right? With that you can assume that its not your MoBo thats faulty.
You could still try to run MemTest on the faulty stick (better on both) because you dont know if the one that SEEMS ok is really ok. It could be that its just not as bad as the first stick.
so.... ya...
before after a few minutes of playing SC2 or browsing i would get constant crashes. sometimes instant crashes on start up of firefox or Sc2. ive been playing and browsing non stop since my last reply and not even one crash... its 100% that one single RAM stick. sad i have to return both. bleh

Well... it wont hurt to check the SSD. But SSDs dont work with sectors like normal HDDs... but I'm not sure if they are still referred to as "sectors" in windows.
Edit: Well I went and searched for some info... chkdsk still works with SSDs and is still quite useful. So you should do it. For old HDDs it was often used to find damaged sectors of the HDD... but it also checks the filesystem (and thats something that should still work for the SSDs). Just skip the /r part of the command... because it does nothing for your SSD.
so i tried to trouble shoot my RAM.
i put both my RAM components in the 3 and 4 slot just to see what would happen. i started my computer and suddenly got the BSOD twice in a row and i was liek "woah wtf i just created another problem" lol.
well i took one piece of RAM and put it in the slot 1. i started my computer and got instant BSOD every time i started up.
took that piece out and put the other one in, started up... no BSOD, restarted my computer 5-6 times and still no BSOD, so just to double check i put back in the first piece of RAM and again BAM BSOD on first start up. so it HAS to be this one stick of bad RAM.
so obviously i need to replace it. funny thing is a lot of reviews on that SSD was talking about BSOD and BSOD comes from your RAM and not your HD... at least in my case. lol
im re-installed starcraft to try and recreate my SC2 crashes. if it doesnt crash with this RAM it means the BSOD and crashes are connected and thankfully only have to replace the easiest part of my comp :). *crosses fingers*

You should run memtest over night... with 8gb RAM it takes some time to run the tests... also like already said you need to run more than one pass (5-7 passes would be good...).
Also thinking about it... chkdsk shouldnt do a thing for a SSD (I didnt read that you have an SSD <_<)... because they (technically) have no sectors to begin with... thats why I deleted my post^^
wait they dont? so its definitely my memory then?

Do you get BSODs too? Or only crashing programs? Also did you test your RAM with MemTest86+? There is an USB Version so you dont need a CD/DVD Drive.
You could also try to run sfc /scannow and chkdsk. For checkdisk go start and search for the command prompt, run it as Admin, tpye "chkdsk c: /f" where "c:" is your system partition... you need to reboot (because chkdsk cant repair sectors of the system partition if the system is running^^) if you want to recover the files from damaged sectors (IF some sectors are damaged...) type "chkdsk c: /f /r", note that this will take way longer. Also type without the quotationmarks^^
For "sfc /scannow" do the same thing... go to start and search for the command prompt, run it as Admin. Type "sfc /scannow" and it will scan your system files. Again type the command without the quotation marks.
You could also try to scan the SSD for bad sectors... but I dont see a program for that on the manufacturers site Oo
no BSOD (yet) and ill run the memory scan thing when i get home in a couple hours as well as the firmware update. hopefully i discover exactly whats wrong.

heres yet more advice: when really in doubt, check to see your ssd firmware is up to date, and update if necessary, then do a fresh windows install if the problem persists, if it does it straight after a fresh windows install then my guess is its definitely hardware related. you can try removing the ssd and doing another install on a HD you know for sure works, if the problems still persists, id say its your ram, if the problem still persists id say try a different power supply. for people who arent computer geniuses, the only thing you can do is trial and error problem solving.
edit: and if you have done all this and still have no luck, try a different windows disc, its possible you can have corrupt files on your disc.
how do i check if the firmware is up to date?
i shall try all of these things before RMA'ing them. because when i do itll be a 2 week wait so i might as well try everything

I don't see anything that should cause any problem =/. As I said, submit a ticket to Blizzard and see what happens.
i sent blizzard all my logs n errors and they said:
Quote from "Blizzard" »
After checking the documents you provided us I was able to determine the error. ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005) occurred at 0023:009242B4. The memory at '0x0028CB4C' could not be read is usually specific to either an issue with the system RAM, bad sectors on the hard drive, or a virus.
Doing a scan of the computer's physical memory can help you identify RAM problems which could cause this issue. We are tentatively recommending users try memory scan utilities such as the Windows Memory Diagnostic, available directly from Microsoft: http://oca.microsoft.../en/windiag.asp We recommend the extended test suite, which takes the longest time to run but is the most thorough test suite available with this tool.
so.... i dont have any CD's or even a floppy drive to use that windows program. it requires i put it on a disk and boot from it.
so i take it this means that the RAM or SSD i got is corrupt or something and i need new ones? (def dont have a virus)

You should submit a ticket to Blizzard about it and if they are able to fix your problem and the website crashes are gone too, it will be good
ugh... so irritating... is it the NVIDIA driver stuff? like you said it can cause issues? you saw my list of programs do i need ALL those nvidia things?

In my opinion, since it's juste diablofans, it may be because they have ads that other websites you visit don't have, which is why I suggested you to try it out.
ya i just installed it, waiting for the next crash... bleh. *crosses fingers*
its just really aggravating buying a brand new computer and installing everything fresh and having issues right off the bat. i expect this stuff from my shitty old computer, not my brand new one :/
hm... my starcraft 2 also seems to be randomly crashing... idk if they are related... ran repair tool and still crashes

Is there anything thay is the same when your browser crashes? (i.e. : Did you try to post something, where you looking at the forums or at the main page, were you logged in?
I doubt it. You got way less crap than me there, though that may be because your computer is brand new, so the crap will come over time XD.
after installing the drivers... firefox is crashing MORE now....
ive even downloaded google chrome and it STILL crashed...
so its crashing on firefox, IE9, google chrome... obviously its my computer and not anything with the browser. but i freshly installed everything 3-4 days ago on this new SSD. i have anti virus running and scanned my system. nothing there. so what else could it be? :(((
is it trying to read/save from your new drive?
is the browser trying to read/save from my drive?

is there a chance this firmware update could solve the issue?
first link doesnt work :o. i get a blank adobe reader pop up?

it has some shitty reviews but i was being cheap. and i havent gotten any of the errors people have been reporting.

so you think my RAM is to blame and not my SSD?
well here are the direct links to my MOBO/RAM/CPU. i didnt see anything on the pages that said they wouldnt be compatible... maybe i missed something?
MOBO - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157280&Tpk=ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3
RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455
CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103851
sigh.... ill try the memory scan thing just in case but most likely either way ill need to RMA them. and have to wait like 2 weeks to get new ones.
