I had that for a while, only solution I found was to use the ES configuration utility, or whatever it was, to launch the game, and not the shortcut/exe file.

No worries mate, we all screw up ^^.
Anywho, I actually had to do this once when one of my CD-keys turned up invalid.
Had to resort to hacking because I was the victim of hacking, what irony :/.
Will try to find what I used.

This is after I spent a few hundred upgrading my computer for some of the hot new games, and found out that most of them are crap.
Isn't it just a bitch?
Same thing happened to me, spent some money on a brand new computer, ordered the parts myself, was so pumped.
Then, about 60% of the games I found, were pieces of shit.
... Anywho, in a desparate stab at stayin on topic, I always seem to creep back to D2 after a while. There are really no games out there that can minic it, and ES made it all the more awesome.

Lol, not normal, but it can happen from time to time.
What you got is called a "set jackpot", that means that every piece of a set is dropped upon killing a unique monster. Rune and Coupon jackpots can also occur, so watch for em when you kill unique monsters.
And also, the early unique monsters like Bishibosh and Rakinishu have an increased chance to drop a set jackpot, it's designed to help out new players.
So if you're down with doing some runs, you might be able to get the set made for your class.

Yep, playing again.
Lost all my old characters, though.
The computer switch over was a whore.
So yeah, back to nothing.
I really enjoy building my characters up from nothing though, it was always the most fun I had in D2. It got boring once I had godly shit.

Only time I got much usage out of it was with skeleton hordes. Any other time you had to take a serious beating for it to pay off. Seriously counter-productive.
It was pretty badass when you had a pally in your party with a high level thorns aura though, the combined damage load was massive.
At least now theres the added damage reduction to make it beefier, I still stick to Decrepify though, sometimes even Weaken.

I wasn't talking about your items.
And was it really necessary to say that about Eric?
Just... wow dude.
Probably should have told you myself, but meh.

If you're unsure of which to start with, go in this order.
Blood Raven's Workshop -> Dark Magician's Chamber -> Marsh of Pain -> Naraku
That is basically in order of difficulty, so if one proves too hard, just drop back down to the previos and get exp/better items before moving up.
Blood Raven's workshop is also pretty badass, I always seem to have great luck with it.

Still can't bring myself to play one.
I actually like barbs though, specially' with a sword and a shield.
Concentrate barbs are pretty decent.
Heh, you can actually make vine swarms now.
It's pretty tits.

Heh... I still remember my first attempt at a melee necro back in D2 LOD.
Used confuse, attract, bone armor, and decrep occasionally.
Was such a ghetto build, but it was pretty fun using only curses to help out in combat.
Was a challenge, thats for sure.
