I don't mind Lady Gaga nearly as much as I did Medusa er I mean Madonna when she hit the scene. Now that woman was annoying, but I was a lot younger then and stuff like that made me itch more. I guess I can relate, Gaga is basically the Madonna of today.
@Nekrodrac, Mutemath has some fresh cuts, I like their action.
What the fuuuuuuuuck...
All of the electronics (lights, ipod, radio, lamp, even the printer) just turned on in the room I'm in, no other rooms were affected, either this is a power surge or I've got a fucking poltergeist.

arry2007uk if like I can traumatize you with small glimpse from the vast cauldron of 80's crap I had to suffer through in my teens, that ought to help put things in perspective  Here enjoy the pain
And I bet Boy George would have loved you hurting him. He seems to be asking for it.
I think that song was a hit in the 80's. Alas for the fact that a lot people think that all oldies are golden.
It looks more like something of a disease actually. On pretty much all vids on youtube you'll find some blokes extolling the greatness of former songs or albums of the same band...
It would seem people are stuck somewhere on a cognitive level. So I guess it is the memories attached to songs that play a big part.
Also in defense of present songs, I believe they are all meant to invoke certain (positive) feelings. If pop, rock or whatever genre does it with a song, it pretty much did its job.
Back to the memory business- However good a song is, if i have listened to it extensively at a difficult/stressful moment in my life, the song will be all ruined. I probably won't be able to appreciate it at later points in my life.
All of this to say- I like that song from Boy George for all the carefree feeling of my childhood it holds.
@Nekrodrac I've recovered over the years but I was definitely aghast when I first heard Dopes remake, which is far, far, better. That was one of the last songs on earth I thought I would hear remade by extreme alternative band, I was laughing the 1st time I heard it. But I didn't expect Prince's "Darling Nikki" to get remade either, so here went the neighborhood. LMAO!
@Turmobil Ah ZZTop, I saw them at the Cow Palace in SF in 86, a one hit wonder band called Honeymoon Suite opened for them and the lead singer took a hurled full beer bottle to the head, cut his eye wide open. Fricken floor crowd was insane pushing back a and forth the entire night. You basically got pushed to the front and then after couldn't take it anymore you went over the guard wall.
Not a huge B-52's fan but I always liked Revolution Earth (couldn't find a YT vid of it I liked)
Thanks Nekrodrac, I docked at the Elephant Bar tonight with my wife and son. I shamelessly brandished me ID at the server to procure me bit of free cake without the embarrassing employee song (fortunately they don't do that there). Ah I LUV's me some cake, then I hit the gym to burn that action off. OOF.
BTW Bloc Party Talons, thar be another music booty I'll be add'n to me trove of songs.

Hola there arry! Welcome to the URT.
What's up with the Lady Gaga thing though?

@Turmobil welcome back

That's the only logical and sensible explanation.
Let's share spooky stories!!!
NOTHING ELSE COULD HAVE CAUSED THAT, NOTHING!!!!!
Seriously though, it was fucking weird, and I have no idea why that happened.
