To me that is nothing like going out and killing game just because it tastes better when there is plenty of meat already on the market. I feel it's on the same vein as somebody justifying the killing of animals instead of shooting at targets because there's a higher entertainment value for them.
You can't buy a lot of wild game at the market, if you could, I would. And who am I to say Mr. Cow should die but not Mr. Rabbit because he's cuter.
Pig, Cow, Chicken, Turkey, Fish. That's about the limit of what I can get at a store around here. Am I suppose to always just settle for one of those because they're a suitable source of protein? No thanks to that. I might as well just sit and eat a jar of peanut butter a day.
Animals are animals, and if you think that cow suffers much less than a deer in the field then I believe you are mistaken. Commercial chicken killing has sometimes involved grabbing the chicken breaking its legs, throwing it against a wall and then stomping it. How is that any less painful than a pellet of bird shot going through a birds heart. If I decide I have to eat 100% cruelty free meat than I wouldn't be eating meat at all.
