Logic Behind PTR Activation
Ever since DiabloFans started datamining info on the upcoming expansion Reaper of Souls, people have been asking what is the source of said data. Very useful information in that regard is Vaeflare's post on the logic behind when and if a PTR servers should be activated.
Can someone please elighten me on the D3 PTR. Is it only available at certain times, pre-patch for instance?
Sometimes before we launch a major patch onto live servers, we offer players the opportunity to participate in a PTR. The duration of this testing is variable, and after it has been concluded (shortly before the patch is released onto live servers), we'll close down the PTR testing in preparation for the patch's official launch.
While we don't always offer a PTR for patches, if and when we plan to have another one, we'll be sure to let you know.
Get ready to amplify your Nephalem powers! The Diablo III game guide has just been updated with information on the console versions of the game.
We're always looking for ways to expand and improve the guide with answers to all of your questions. If there are any particular aspects of the game you're curious about, let us know in the comments!
Thanks! We're glad to hear you're having a great time with Diablo III on the console, and we're really excited about all the stuff we're working on to make it even better.
My only issue is that you cant cancel archon once activated, share the loot that dropped with the party you are in, or view profiles
I'm not sure what you mean about not being able to share the loot with your party. Do you mean that you can't link the item in party chat? Because you can drop items on the ground for fellow party members (as long as they're not account bound) from the item menu or with the quick loot feature. Also, you can view their profiles in the party section of the menu. It's a little buried, but worth finding so you can chat about builds and gear with your fellow adventurers.
The roll feature is awesome .. Dodging and backstepping away from stuff feels so fluid.
I think I use the dodge feature to break things more than I do to actually dodge anything. Anyone else do this?
I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, not sure this is intended or not but... if you Barrel Roll as frozen orbs go off, you will not get frozen. Ever. Try it. This is something you couldn't do on PC.
I don't always remember to time a dodge when Frozen orbs are exploding, but I've noticed you can avoid being frozen by doing so. Just remember that it doesn't work with all of the elite affixes, and attempting to do a barrel roll under an Arcane Beam will just get you torn up.
"He existed to seek the meaning of all things—the truth in all things."
Quiet and elusive, Malthael was an enigma to his own kind. While a revered member of the Angiris Council, in the years following the destruction of the Worldstone he began to grow increasingly distant and withdrawn, prone to long periods spent in isolation. No one knew where he went. No one knew the purpose of these mysterious journeys. Until one day, he just disappeared. . .
