it better not be for a ps3 because i just got a 360. but i do agree it wont be for any consoles becasue battle.net wouldnt work on 360 or ps3.
Battle.net is for Warcraft 3, Starcraft and Diablo 2 I don't think they would have a mmo on there. Look at WoW they have they're own servers. It has no connection to Battle.net whatsoever.
Blizzard announed this year they were indefinitely ceasing all development for consoles. I don't think they like the platform as the consoles change too fast and doesn't match their development cycle for games.
but, considering that PS3 has a foreseen lifespan of 8-9 years and just came out, it gives to blizzard enough time to recover the investment.
further to this, ps3 could be interesting for blizzzard since it has the most advanced grafic chip, and most of the technical knowledge gained during the developement could be recicled in time future time when PC will be at its same level
I don't believe any console has a lifespan of 8-9 years. A new one will come along in 5 or 6 years.
And furthermore, if they wanted to recycle a game from console and put it on PC, I believe it would be most logical to go with the 360 because it (I think) is closer to the PC, so it would be easier to recycle.
Of course, I'm not sure about all of that, but it seems logical to me.

I believe Sony has said they aren't going to be creating another console, they still will create games though.
Microsoft is apparently already working on a new console.
Sony had said the PS3 will be good for 10 years, they say there is a enormous amount of power to squeeze out of the PS3 yet. I keep hearing that current PS3 games aren't the PS3's potential, I can't wait to see it's full potential.
There's this sportsbike game for PS2 that came out shortly after X360 did, you would positively think you're playing the sportsbike game on a x360 that's how fine tuned the graphics were for the PS2. Makes you wonder what really is possible with these machines, developers need to start putting a bit more effort forth.
Yea but if blizzard takes a liking to ps3 and made diablo3 for ps3......Well not evryon is going out to buy a $400 dollar console so hopefully they would make it for pc and not ps3

whoever thinks that D3 will b on a console needs to be hit on the head till they think diffrent. putting a diablo game on a console is like putting halo 3 on the DS or taking away Tony Montanas gun (thats the guy from scarface for those of you who havent seen it). So think about that before getting people worried like this

No matter how far you've come in life, every step you take can decide your fate, and if your future is bad, only you can change it, for even if a step to the left instead of a step to the right can make your day better, then I'd say that's the best step to take.
They're not making anymore consoles? Why's that...
And I can see your points with the rest of it.
Well now I feel like an ass, I searched high and low for what I said to prove it and there's nothing now.
Last year it was a big deal, a long time Sony analyst had said there will be no PS4, due to the fact that Sony has been moving towards software more and more every year and the insane costs of the PS3. It was said Sony will not recoup the cost of R&D from the PS3 for 5 years. A company at that much of a loss from their product will surely rethink ideas for the next generation of that product. If there were no PS4 it would make sense, I'd like to think it just depends on the PS3 future, it could still BOOM yet, recoup those costs faster and become a cash cow like the PS2.
On the flip side, there's a ton of unsubstantiated rumors on forums saying the PS4 will be released in 2010.
2010 seems just entirely too soon, outrageous rumor, the PS3 has been out a year and hasn't got on it's own two feet yet.
Yeah that rumor sounds totally outrageous. They haven't even compelety stop making ps2 games yet so there is no way they can even be thinking about making a ps4 now.
Lol. I needed to be hit in the head untill I started thinking

The PS2 still stacks up reasonably well against the new consoles, and the PS3 blows the other two away by a helluva lot in power. The Sony consoles have staying power, I'll give them that.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
