any word on actual release dates for either of these games? path of exile and torch light 2. both i know are in beta, SWTOR is in beta and they actually have a release date of 20 december.... so why don't these other games that are much much smaller and should come out sooner not have one? :/ any info would be appreciated
Well, Daedalic Entertainment, a company that will be releasing the retail version of Torchlight II in Germany (and in whole Europe I suppose), has a release date of 13.12.2011 on their website. Here's the link: http://www.daedalic.de/de/game/Torchlight_II
This is what one of the Runic employees had to say concerning the abovementioned release date: "If you don't hear it from Runic, then don't read too much into it."
We shall see. Personally, I don't believe that Torchlight II will be released this year.
If TL2 and/or POE are not released this year then they will for sure lose at least 60-70% of their player base to the epicness that is D3... considering these games are cheap knock-offs of the original and would only work as fillers IMO
Runic Games Forum is full of similar posts from impatient people who think that Runic misses/has already missed the best release window for Torchlight II. Curiously though, neither Runic or real fans of Torchlight are concerned at all.
Both Diablo III and Torchlight II are just fillers while waiting for Borderlands 2.
lol its retarded how they are not concerned because there both hack n slash games. yes if someone really enjoys the cartoony graphics they will still play, doesn't stop the mass majority from quitting to play d3, which they will.
