I'm very doubtful when I hear people claim 200-300+ hours and no items over a million. I'm just under 200 hours and I've sold dozens of items for a million or more, and many more for a bit less just to get rid of them quickly. I have a feeling a lot of people are failing to recognize good gear and vendoring it.
IDK really, i managed to find a pretty solid 980dps 2h-XBOW but that hasn't sold on the AH even for 1m. I've put it up for 2.5m, 2m and 1.5m but no luck. So I'm pretty surprised at that but maybe it's just my luck.
I could see where it would be dumb luck if I'd only gotten a few items of a million + in worth, but I've literally gotten dozens. Either people are misidentifying good rares and vendoring them, or running with zero MF.
You can swap to a cheap MF suit to finish off packs once you get them low. Alternatively, if you're lazy and hate cheese like me, you can just build a decent MF suit to farm act 1 and possibly act 2 in as I have.
It's not only a matter of mf. Just for example for first 3 days of this week I was farming act 3 after work, ending with over 300 tears from disenchanting yellow items yet out of that there were just 5 items with stats descent enough to sell for something around 100k. So if you don't have luck with identifying as me there's just one good sugestion - start selling unidentified items for those ppl that think they have luck
