So I thought about listing my 901 dps magic 2-hand....the thing is if I search for magic 2-hand weapons by DPS, there are so many listings that it will never get to 900 dps. Is there a way that people search that finds those weapons? Will Blizzard add a DPS range search box?
Yeah, I find myself using the max buyout price field more than any other, and I think a lot of players are doing the same. Most people (everyone prior to level 60) just need a piece of gear or two to get over a hump or to help their progression, and since they'll be replacing it soon enough anyway, they don't want to spend gold on godly items. Bottom line, if you want to make sales, price cheaply and just sell as much as you can, that way you'll make up the difference of what the item's "really worth" (quality) by simply selling a ton of items (quantity).

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.
People usually use the price as a filter.
If I'm going to search for a 2 hand weapon, and I'm willing to pay 100k , I would put 50k as maximum buyout and see what I can get, them 75k and 100k. (sometimes you get a nice deal with half the money)
So if you're selling, it's the other way around, you filter filter for 100k and theres a 1000 dps 2 hand there, so you have to go down to 90k and onwards until you find that the average 900 dps weapon is being sold by let's say 60k.
I know it's kinda tricky, but I guess it's what everyone is doing atm, since theres almost no other option...
You can also further organize your search after you get listings. Set level, rarity, etc. Then click on the "DPS" field. It will then organize all items that meet your criteria by DPS. You can organize it highest first or lowest first. So, if you have the highest DPS 2-hander within those categories, it'll show up at the top.
That is exactly how I shopped when leveling.
1Handed weapon, has Dex, has vit, max buyout price of 10,000. Find any rare with those stats, buy & use! Do it again in a couple levels, put the old weapon up there for the same price I paid. =)
I tend to move dropped items pretty quickly assuming others are doing the same, I put them up for a pretty low buyout (but still 10x-20x what I'd get from in game vendors), and many sell after the 5minute window is up. If they don't sell, I drop the price and relist.
