I checked for the first time in many a month or two and nothing, although I'm kinda glad I don't want to play a watered down 1/3 version of act 1... It would be nice to play but I'll cope. I rather enjoy the initial relase.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
... and I highly doubt ~95%+ of the people playing beta are in private games.
I don't at all. By the time I realized the email wasn't a phish and it (finally!) finished downloading, I was just typing passwords and clicking buttons to get going. The default game mode is neither public nor single player -- it allows people on your Real-ID friends list to join in. My guess is that the vast majority of games being played by new invitees were of this variety.
Yeah last night at like 8pm EST, there were only 350 people in public games. 100k seems like such an unreasonable number, and I highly doubt ~95%+ of the people playing beta are in private games.
Completely disagree. The natural default option is private play. Playing with friends does not list you in the public games area. I would not be surprised at all if only 5%-10% of the population was playing publicly, especially on the first day they get in.
Combined with the fact that it is very unlikely that even half the people who got in were able to log on last night. (very slow download speeds, many of us had to get to bed early for work/school in the morning, I know some of my buddies got in but were unable to play last night... which is why I downloaded the client like 5 months ago =D)
lol i wouldn't doubt it
