I am reading on the wiki about the way the skills allocation works in DIII. It says:
"The rumored respec option is now gone and replaced with a system where skills can be changed at any time as long as the player is not in combat. There is no penalty for changing skills."
I am wondering exactly what this translates into. Does this mean you can take points put into skills in and out as you please in towns (in the same manner as Guild Wars)? or does it mean you just swap between active skills in towns? in fact i can't actually find much info about how points allocations to skills works in DIII. is it similar to D2 where each skill takes say 20 skill points and then is maxed out (skill points being earned with each level) or is it completely different?
You got number of skills in your "spellbook", but during fight you just have 6 that you can use.
"Respecing" is changing the 6 skills. At any point when ur out of combat.
ah nice.. i have always wanted such flexibility.. wasn't fun levelling a character to 90+ in D2 then making the same character again because you want to attribute skills differently thanks guys
Welcome to the forums. Check the existing threads for interesting information that was just recently found out; the Wiki (accessible from the top tab) is specially useful for understanding the basics of the game (resources, health globes, skill systems, etc.).
