All that town following you deep into hell was already made in a great game which is better than Diablo 3 called Blade and Sword. You start in a town, then move up north to cold mountains, then u go down to hell, and village people from act 1 keep following you to the end. And you don't end up in a town in the last act, but they build a sort of small settlement in a safe place near hell. Though there were TPs still.
Interesting. I haven't tried that game. As a result of the villagers following you and setting up camp along your progress did everybody that played the game end up with the same setup of small towns/settlements or did players manually choose when and where their villagers should set up the settlements for them? If it was the second option, where the player chooses where they want to set up camp that could make for a very unique gaming experience for everyone.
