You know, I researched it, and it looks eerily similar to WoW.
Two main classes, one for good and one for evil.
The game has mounts.
Quests.
I don't think I want to try to now .
1. Faction fight is the oldest mmorpg feature. OU, the first mmorpg, had it (Chaos vs. Order). Also only UO and maybe WAR implemented it in a sucefull way.
2. FFXI is the game who have introduced mounts as items in the mmorpg universe, not wow.
3. I don't really know the first mmorpg that makes leveling based at questing instead of pure farming. But if its wow, praise blizz, cause farming is something stupid and boring. I hope D3 we can level until 99 without any farm.
I've been playing D2 again. I was amazed I was able to get back into it. I just beat normal hardcore for the first time ( it was awesome). Now I am attempting to beat it all the way through hell softcore. Then we'll see about hell on hardcore. It's amazing how much I remember from 10 years ago. I've also reinstalled D1. Should be fun remembering that game. Wirt, deckard and starting a rogue on hell and going down with a window dungeon and getting to lvl 25 instantly hahaha...

Watching 240 guys talk trash about cavaliers is like two retards having a slapfight over a sippy cup.
I've been going on bit of an RTS spree, getting all the new additions to old games that have come out mostly Red Alert 3, but also Tiberium Wars and Age of Empires 3. I tried WAR for a little bit but MMORPGs just get too repetitive for me. Theres only so many battlegrounds you can play before you feel like it isnt worth 15 bucks a month.
Let's see...I was stuck on D2 since the first day I played it. I tried a few Xbox games and Playstation games but nothing they offer keeps my interest for very long. I always ended back up on D2 in less than a week.
Recently though a friend of mine turned me on to this free online MMO called Last Chaos. I am not sure if it is still in Beta or not. I just started about 3 weeks ago. They have been adding things about once a week. New dungeons, monsters, weapons, items, features, bumped the leveel max to 140. It is a really interesting game. I haven't logged onto my bnet account since I started playing this game. For me that is surprising. For years nothing could get me away from D2.
I'll admit the first 2 weeks I was a total retard. There are 12 bazillion items that you find through you travels, some of which have no known purpose as of yet, that you have no idea what to do with or what value they have. So in typical newb fashion I asked alot of questions. I still have my retard moments here and there but for the most part I have it down.
The game may or may not be as good as WoW. I refuse to pay the 15 dollars to play that game so I have no comment on that. Last Chaos is free to download and as I like to say "if it's free, it's for me."
It is certainly a breath of fresh air away from grinding the same boss over and over and over again on D2. If any of you want to check it out go to www.lastchaos.aeriagames.com
hmm. I hope I don't get in trouble for linking to a different site.

The blind mind's eye replies with a sigh and a tear of contempt for those who see the world as it truly is.
Some of my geekier friends have been trying to get me into D&D. I liked what I have played so far but I want to be the dungeon master. The other day I was in a book store looking at the 4th edition DM guide (I think) and a players handbook. I asked the clerk there what I needed to get started in learning to DM, but he wasn't very helpful and kept looking at my chest.
I hear 4th edition is fun and easier, so that's what I was looking for. I love writing and I think I would be good at it.
So that is a project of mine until (and even after) D3 comes out.
Other than that, I've recently played COD 5, SF4, Fable 2 (sucked) and Ninja Gaiden 2 on my 360.
I also watch a lot of movies (tonight even I watched Twilight - <3 Edward!!! and Transporter 3.
Today I picked up the Diablo Archive and started reading it.
I'm playing a bit of CoD4 and L4D but I long for Diablo 3. I'm looking at Jumpgate Evolution for a good time killer while waiting. Hopefully it will come out within the next few months.

That game is great.
Played it with my cousin last weekend.
Hahaha.
I've got a lot of projects from now until the release of Diablo III.
