i heard somewhere that they were going to have d3 run on lower end systems so they can have as many people playing it so those are very possible, and it would make more sense that way
It will definitely be low system req, same as WoW, same as all their games...I like it more people can play, and besides, a game should not be based off the graphics but the gameplay, which Blizzard is known for making amazing.

Will you buy D3 MCS?
Their game's graphics are still good, nonetheless!
Yeah, Blackwing, you don't really have any solid evidence to support your theory, so don't spread rumours by answering people's questions like that as if it were fact.
There have been interviews saying something about although they haven't decided on anything yet, its likely that it will be free to play while some additional account-related things might cost extra (like switching characters over realms or something similar).
1UP: Speaking of the WOW experience, other action-RPG games have attempted a subscription model of sorts, can you talk at all about that for Diablo III?
RP: Well, ultimately, we'll decide on the final business model of the game in the future, but I don't think you're going to see a subscription model in the realm of WOW. It's a boxed product game, it will be more similar to say, the Diablo II or the StarCraft II model.
And for original topic... obviously they just made it up. Don't believe anything you hear unless its from Blizzard directly or has been sourced. They have stated multiple times that it'll be released when its ready, whenever that is.
What he said. Diablo III will not be pay-to-play online. There might be features that could be purchased, such as extra character slots or extra inventory room - but it's very unlikely that you'll have to actually pay to play.
Although, I almost wish it WOULD be pay to play just in spite of some of the people around here.

If you got this from some friendly speculation, then I am sorry, and will reword my opinion next time.
The biggest red flag that stands out about the specs that were posted is the video card and the cpu. Those are down right abysmal. You can buy cards and cpu's that are more powerful than that for less than $200 combined.
And hell, if people can't afford to have a basic rig, then they shouldn't be able to play.
And if I had to guess at the size, I'd probably go with close to 8 Gigs. Hell, Titan Quest takes up over 4 gigs, and that game isn't nearly as large as Diablo 3 should be.

Looks good to me. I'd just buy your own video card.
I love HP's, they're great PCs. I'm using one right now (albeit upgraded myself some).
Yea, the video card should be fixed... I promised myself one day I would make my computer with o9ne of those computer parts websites, heard they are overall cheaper and more efficient. 1k computer runs like a 3k compuuter.

Correct.
I'm building one this fall. I have a computer that's decent right now, but I'd really like to have a beast for next year.

And a 320GB HDD
2.0Ghz
I should be more than fine.
Here's 4 gigs of ram for $40, if anyone is interested. It's outstanding RAM, I already have 4 gigs of it, and I'm buying another in the fall.
