Many interpret religion as fact. That is what dooms most religious folk to a life of foolishness, rash behavior, and ill-education. Unfortunately, those with darker goals exploit this, and so, popularize that hatred with religion and a church.
this is why so many people are going atheist, not that it's a bad thing, or that's the sole reason, but there is so much damn coruption in the churches these days.
Has there ever been a president who hasn't cheated on his girlfriend or supported something totally ridiculous?
Only idiots care about these kinds of things. The only thing that worries me about the president is how he affects the country. His family affairs... he's just human, an he represents the majority of the population, which are all quite unlawful. Considering how many people cheat on their girlfriends and smoked pot, disqualifying a president for that is extremely hypocritical. I hate the media for that.

but how do you vote for an untested candidate? you look at his past and his actions to see his moral fiber, his social demeanor and his overall character. now i know people change throughout life, so what a person does as a teenager should not really be brought up as bad, but as a married man in his 40s or so on to behave in a way that is unacceptable shows many personal psychological traits which may concede to a bad term. thats not 100% true, thats not even 25% true imo, and only few presidents have honored that statistic, such as your Jackson and Grant. but the majority of the public thinks this way and so do the voters, so it must have meaning. as a brilliant mind once said, past is prologue.

i vote for obama because im poor and have no moeny so why would i vote republican... lol j/p i vote for obama because i believe in his principals over mcains and u forgot about our other black president dude... bill clinton
I'm voting for Mccain because quite frankly I wouldn't trust Obama any further than I could throw him. This years election is a bit of a tangled mess because of all the different angles people are looking at it. The superficial and petty "He's black, he's old, she's a woman" thought process people carry is a very real fact in voters, as voters are humans. The main reason for the way in which I view things is to attempt to look not at what the person says, but at what they do. I may or may not agree with everything Mccain says or does, but I do have a sense that by comparison he's a straight shooter. Obama is in my book a wild card, I really don't know where he stands on anything other than to trust his word on it. I'm sure by taking a simple vote here, how many people would automatically trust a politician to his word? Aside from that, I really didn't like any of the choices this year, I wanted to vote for Ron Paul.

Nothing happens to you, but everything happens for you.
Honestly, I have been thinking about it, and what if Bush calls the elections off on account of the war? It is a very real possibilty, and the Bush team is many things, but stupid is not one of them. (Note: I said Bush team, but GW himself, refering to the wife, the cabnet, and the administration, excluding GW.) They are also one of the most ambitious teams in history, comparable in my oppinion only to Nixon...
you scaring me now, then again dick has done it before and he will do it again, this time he's pushing for a third term!
AT this point Both canidates are pissing me off, but i guess i would still vote mccain, damnit why couldn't hillary have been a independent, or john edwards could have stayed in! Or Romney!
Hillary getting the democratic ticket would of given McCain the victory. Romney is...well I just don't like him, plain and simple don't like him. And Edwards, well, he's Edwards.
McCain is going to screw this country over and push us farther towards a revolution then even Bush has done.
and obama is going to put the country in a even worse econmic crisis, and risk our nation security...... also how would hillary winning be giving mccain the win?
Then again mabey we could use a revolution, it seems our constitution isnt faring to well in the 21st century.
and obama is going to put the country in a even worse econmic crisis, and risk our nation security...
And McCain is going to keep doing what Bush is doing. He even stated he will stay over for one hundred years if need be. What we need though is to step back and look at what we are doing and why we are fighting.
We will not though because the religous special intrest groups have these pissant politicians in there back pockets.
i agree but that statement is being taken out of context, and honestly policy wise they have similarities but how has bush done for his base? 2000 republican primary anyone, the democrats favorite republican? I mean kerry even asked him to be vp! Really one election changes everything.
Also ban the fucking lobbiest, but then again think of how many rich people will be out of a job?!
No, not out of context. McCain is a war mongel just like Bush. They are just focused on the current scapegoats, which happen to be the Muslims. When the Muslims are done with, the scapegoats will shift to another group, and nobody will even remember Iraq as we occupy them for XX years.
America has two options coming.
1) Become the nect Nazi Germany.
2) Revolution.
I personally believe the revolution will come first...
revolution to a point is needed, or a big enough event to somewhat open our eye's enough to make reform. We really need to get rid of the democratic, republican, vs other for pwer type system.
But also areant we being a little to negitive, i mean what about before bush? THose times were preety good, i mean this just shows what one extremely bad administration does to us.
McCain is probably one of the wost candidates I could imagine, he's even worse than Bush. I was hoping Romney would win on the republican side, he made a lot of sense, and I'd think he'd pick up the economy. McCain hardly ever mentions the economy. I hope Obama wins. If he doesn't... well, we'll certainly keep sending people into Iraq and collecting national debt and observe the insane house market + outsourcing + the richest country not being able to pay its citizens' college, nope... or pay its citizens' healthcare... haha.
First thing Obama's going to do is raise taxes, and your worried about McCain messing with people's abilities to pay for things?
Taxes are better than credit unions or credit in the first place.
People are not being able to pay for things because the credit in this country is not balanced. Everything everybody owns is credit. Home, car, furniture. Everybody pays by credit. The whole country is in this virtual debt. One day this system is going to crash. And it has little to do with peoples' salaries and and taxes, it has to do with the fact that they are forced to go into mortgage to pay for a home.
It's like, some realtor/bank/w/e was selling a home, and he had a non-fixed rate. It started at 1% or something. So some happy American started paying that. Then, with inflation and lack of money the realtor got freaked out and raised the rate to 6% (if not more...). The poor American can't pay that anymore. This is what happened to the home market.
THAT is what needs to be fix, and if anyone can fix it, it's someone crazy, and maybe Obama is just crazy enough.
No one can guarantee that Obama is that way but I can guarantee McCain sure isn't.
Sounds to me like you're throwing dice on this election. I rather doubt the "He's just crazy enough to" ideology is something I want to intrust to the most powerful person in the country.
