lol... thnks siaynoq... about what u said before, i agreed in most of it, the only thing is that i wouldn't espect a prequel, i mean, the most interseting thing about diablo is that u don't know what is going on on the story and that u have to discover it by playing... that's why i said that in D3 that special part of the game should be exploted by making the gamer work as an historian, something like a graphic adventure, but of course with all the essencial aspects of diablo
oh, and of course... the COWS!!! they must have a protegonic part on D3 they have to be there in the develpoing of the events
There's actually many signs that suggest the game could be a prequel. The SIn War Trilogy alone suggests that. Plus the fact that there's so many fascinating time periods in Diablo's history that we have yet to experience.
yeah, that's true... yet, i would like to see less of the evils and stuff and see more about the other characters, for instance, the horadrim or the rogues, i would like more interaction with them, and perhaps leave the killing to a secondary part (actually i get killed a lot :p) but imagine being a magi aprentice that is growing under the lead of the horadrim, and the prime evils irrumps on the mortal realm and you have to fight against them and lock them in the soul stones or something... or imagine that you actually have to read and do something in order to gain a spell or skill, so is not just killing a lot of monsters or read a book, but finding the words and something like that... it would be more realistic
I often think of how cool it would be to play as the Horadrim in the original attempt to capture Baal in the Soulstone. To see what he might have looked like then would be really interesting.
i always wondered how they made the soulstones, and for no reason at all i related the blood stones (D1) and a horadric cube, u transmute them and what? there u go, a soulstone, if there is a sequel it would be nice to go back to those catacombs and search for the blood altar and make a soulstone of my own to catch any demon u like, lilith, inarius, tyrael, diablo, or anything...
by the way, i never found to mucho sense in diablo's ending cinematic, why did my rogue, after all the pain and years (it took me 5 years to complete diablo) i spent on that game, pierced her head with that stone, why didnn't she just throw it away or brake it or something... diablo's esence was contained in the stone... just leave it there... i just don't understand

It took you five years to complete that game? Unreal.
But to answer your question, if the stone was not driven into the hero's head, Diablo would not be contained. True, in the end, Diablo was not contained anyway, but the hero's action at the end of the first game buys everyone some time. Through the hero's own strength and will, he would attempt to contain Diablo for as long as humanly possible. This means, however, to vastly underestimate Diablo and his power.
As far as breaking it, to do so just anywhere seems like it could unleash Diablo without any restraints. It had to be destroyed at Hellforge.
OH! right, thnx for that, and why didn't she took the ston there??? well anyway, perhaps my rogue was stupid or somthing

yeah, it took me 5 years or so, because i had a very bad bow and couldn't find any good one until i realised that i could restart the game and buy one... so i found a metheoric bow of the stars (wich is almost the best) until then the witches in topless and the walking armors always killed me, so i got angry and left the game to oblivion, but after i recovered it and finish it in 5 days

There could actually be very good reasons why they didn't attempt to take the Soulstone straight to Hellforge the first time. But I think it's simply because you can't just get to Hell. True, in the first Diablo you actually are in Hell, but it seems more of a pocket of Hell that Diablo opened as a temporary base before he could get to that entire realm. The same realm that seems reachable through the Infernal Gate that the Prime Evils open in the cinematic after Act III.
sorry if this was written somewhere in this post.. but i couldn't understand what was the order of the books and what was their name.
so, can anyone, please, tell me what is the order of the books and a little description of what's in each book?
thank you
Ya in the 1st diablo the hell levels are really the church, but twisted with a hellacious influence. But you are not actually in hell. That could be another concept in D3. You get to see Hell and Heaven for yourself........In D2 when you have to go to the river of flame, I'm not sure if that was really hell, or just another part of earth influenced by hell's power. It could have been hell, I mean that there was a forge that the demons made armor at but that could have been on earth.

lonely is the hunter.........when he kills everyone!!
and so it came to pass that the arch angel tyreal destroyed the soul stones
at hell forge....or did he? thirsting for power, and wishing to overthrow the creator, tyreal thawt he could contain and harnis the power of diablo, bending the forces in his faver and giving him untold ammounts of power. but the destructive power contained in the stone was too much for even the powers of tyreal to handel...and with the combined power of an angel of heaven...and a demon of hell...is their any chance for mankind? will a hero arise? i sure as hell hope so! i'm so ready for d3!
possibility 2
apon the destructiion of the soulstones of the 3...a disruption occured millions of lightyears away from earth...a weekining of a ceal that held sme ancient form of power, so old, and so destructive, that it took the powers of the 3 and the powers of the creator to contain them...(insert cool female demon name here)...the countess of evil, and (insert cool male demon name here)...the creator of darkness were released from their imprisonment, and are now seeking to take their revenge apon the people who destroyed their sons....
DUN DUN DUN
kind of off of the top of my head, i'v herd som stuff about tyreal in the main story line, that he planned from the beginning to overthrow god...like lucifer and stuff..but it's all pritty sketchy..the one about their parent would be wikid cool, but i havnt herd anything about it, that was just off of the top of my head.

Their are two wolves fighting in every mans heart, one is love, and one is hate.
i liked the idea of the parents of the 3 awaking, that would be cool, but make it here on earth, lightyears?? come on!!!
the posiblitiy 1... mmm... i think that the question "or did he?" is kinf of the prelude of a bad sequel, don't take me wrong, but i preferr to add evils than changing the arguement of past games... it's like "ups, we shouldn't do that, lets change it now!"... mmm...
i can understand where your comming from, lightyears is dramatic, but i was on the seat of my panths man, gimmi a break
good point, i like newer evils as well, but the lord of lies and lord of suffering are still out their, though i cant remember their names, and they could be lesser evils, and honistly, whats diablo without well...diablo as the boss?
and emagin, tyreal with his big massive sword, powerful enough to destroy the worldstone, along with the awesome wrath of diablo...i'm thinking wow...thats gona be 1 hardcore beast to kill, but 2 each his own i guess.
