The beer was flowing, the laughter all around. It was another warm night at Lut Gholein. Verdin was barely able to stand on his own two feet. He stumbled to the bathroom and started vomiting in the hole in the ground, and then he passed out and fell next to a dead rat. Meanwhile, a strange warrior went to the bar of the Inn and threw a gold coin, saying: "One room please." Then he took a drink, and went up to his room.
Someone screamed, the laughter stopped. Two theives had walked in, and threw a dagger at the screaming woman. "Make noise and the same happens to you." The bartender took a rough axe from behind the counter. He was a skilled warrior. He threw the axe at the first theives head with perfect aim. The theif ducked without any effort, and threw an Exploding Potion into the far corner where the counter was, killing him and a few other drunkards. The second theif, obviously nervous, walked up to the counter and started to take all the money behind it. "Hey look, there's a gold coin, master, look!" The first theif walked up and examined the coin, and then yelled: "Who knows where this coin came from?" No one answered. Then he pulled out another dagger and went up to an old man. "Do you know?" "Yes, yes it was some person he is upstairs, perhaps sleeping." The theif replied: "Thank you" and he plunged the dagger into the old mans heart.
Stay tuned for Part 2 !!!

The combat-experienced theif walked into the room where the man with the gold coins slept. Meanwhile his partner was downstairs in the bar, making sure no one escaped and contacted Greiz. His partner could do well, but he was new, and a nervous wreck. He wondered if it was a good idea to leave him alone with all those people. He was now in the persons room but there was no one there. From no where a kick drove into his back and he flew forward into the wall. He scrambled for his sword but the beast of a human stormed down on him.
Downstairs, Verdin came out of the bathroom, he saw the theif scrambling through drawers and safes. He then saw the Bartenders axe in the wall. He took it out, and flung it into the theifs back..At the same time someone in the croud took out a knife and jumped at the theif. The young theif had no chance.
A scout watched all of this from the desert plains. He dissapeared with no trace. He would have to kill this huge man upstairs later on in his life. For now, he had to make sure he would still have a life for that to happen. So he walked into the lonely dark desert.

-Assassin's Gang View-It was a hot day in the deserts by Lut Gholein. A gang of expert theives had arranged a quest that would have been easy, but it turned out into a miserable failure. One of their greates assassins had died, along with a recruit. Only the scout had survived, who had reported back to this gang. The theives' leader, Trektal wondered if they should pursue "giant man." He had killed their greatest assassin with his bear hands. The scout had spied on this man, and he had gone with Warriv to the east, to the Rogue Encampment. This was good, the theives had strong connections around there, so they decided to ambush him while they approached this encampment. They would make a treaty with the nearby Gheed for a small amount of money, for him to provide weapons to this gang of theives. They would have three men attack the mountain of a man, two others take hold of Gheed, another to torch the wagon, and one more scout.
-The Huge Man's View-The wagon is nearing the Rogue Encampment. He plans to strike a deal with Charsi to make him a weapon. For too long he had been fighting with his hands, and the close encounter with death in Lut Gholein increased his desire for a weapon. The wagon stopped, it was in flames. The man jumped out trying to see what happened. A theif jumped onto him from the top of the wagon. Another two charged from opposite sides. There was Warriv, trying to fend off two theives with small blade. The mountain-man ducked, and the theif jumping at him crashed into the hot desert sand. The man flung one theif running at him into the other, and the first theif accidentally impaled another with his dagger. The one that fell into the sand was already running away. And the one who had killed his friend was getting up. The mountain-man grabbed hold of him. "Who sent you here? Why are you after me?" In reply: "I don't know anything you filth." "Don't lie." and the man kicked the theif in the groin. "Ok ok, east of Lut Gholein you wil find our master, Trektal, he is after your gold!"The mountain man took the dagger our of the theifs dead body and said: "This is for killing your friend." and stuck the knife into his abdomen.
Next part, will reveal who this man is.

-Barbarian's view-The mountain man is a barbarian. He had come down from Harrogath as a child, due to invasions of Baal's minions. Now he was in the hot golden deserts by Lut Gholein. A gang of theives had attacked him at the inn of Lut Gholein (originally trying to take all of the Bar's money) and then they had ambushed him as he was traveling to the Rogue Encampment looking for a weapon. In fact, he had survived both times and received a specially crafted weapon for his size. A two handed sword made doubly large, encrested with an emerald to poison his enemies. Even though this weapon was too big for a normal man to carry, he weilded it with one hand without any effort. The barbarian was now looking for the gang's hideout, and for their leader Trektal. He understood that Trektal had a bounty of 2 gold pieces by the authorities of Lut Gholein. He would plan to give the gold to the Inn, to supply their popular bar and repay the damages. The Barbarian scanned the horizon. What was he looking for? Perhaps some tents, maybe even a small house. He spoted a mound of sand, but nothing else. The barbarian went up to the mound, and on the other side there was an entrance. This was the Maggot Lair. In the upper levels it was harmless but deep down monsters lurked. As the barbarian noticed there was a guard, he was obviously bored so he didn't see the Barbarian. The theif-guard was writing in the sand with a stick.
-Guard's view-The guard was lazily drawing a map in the sand. A map? No you couldn't call this horrible sketch a map, it was just a few lines. He bent down to rub out the markings in the sand. Then there was a bloody sord sticking out of him. It was there, it came out of nowhere. He stared dumble at the enormously huge blade before seeing the emerald encrusted into the tip of the blade. Oh no, if the wound won't get me the poison will. The sword came out of him, and he slumped onto the floor.
-Barbarian's view- He stalked down into the shadows of the tunnel and heard voices. "Sir he killed two of our men and the other ran into the wilderness. Oh and yes, we do have Gheed, the greedy little bastard wanted too much money." "Very well assassinate Gheed. Also, don't do anything else with that man, he is too strong for us." From what he could hear, there were only 4 men, and he heard orders being taken, so Trektal must be in there too.
-Trektal's view- "Yes indeed, we WILL leave... there, there someone is down the tunnel, kill him!" The invader took out a sword, bigger than any that Trektal has seen, and took the two chargin men down by impaling both of them in one strike. They slid off the end of his blade. The remaining theifstarted to run. Two armed guards came in from behind and one of them clumsily threw a knife at the barbarian, and only hitting his arm. The barbarian grunted and then dropped his sword.he kicked one of the men out of his way, and the theif that was running saw that the battle was close to being won. He ran back and jumped on the Barbarian's back. The theif in front of him charged right into his chest and the barbarian staggered backwards and fell. He had been overpowered.
