Where are the stylesheets for the wiki? Usually, they're done thru the MediaWiki namespace, but since I'm assuming that there's a fair amount of shared code between the wiki and the rest of the site, it would figure that the stylesheet is off-wiki.
Any rules against me setting up an on-wiki overriding style sheet? Given the cascading nature, I wouldn't be able to undo the existing stylesheet unless I specifically wanted to, but there are things that need to be fixed (garish colors that are being picked up from the MediaWiki defaults, for example).
If none of this made any sense whatsoever, smile, nod your head yes, and I'll just go work my magic.
I'm not etirerly clear on what you're proposing, but I'm guessing it's about changing the look of the wiki in terms of colors, images and the likes? If so, I'd probably advise against it. The wiki is supposed to have the same look as the main site.
However if there are any problems and things aer looking shitty, we definately want to know.

Well, the thing that tipped me off is [[Special:SpecialPages]], which has the same backgrounds as the default MediaWiki setup. Looks great when the background is white... not so much when the background is black (or rather, a dark gray).
Also, I'm not saying I'd go haywire and start coloring everything bright pink and neon green (*shudder*), but some changes will need to be made at some point, if only to make it easy to standardize everything without making a ton of edits all over the place. If nothing else, the names of the articles need to be made a lot more distinctive; having all the headings be the exact same size as mere bold body text is bad form.
It'd also be nice if the "page / discussion / move / watch" tabs were actually anywhere near the actual wiki content, rather than being above the header; I'm not sure why that is, but it's hella confusing.
Sorry if I'm so pushy, but I've spent a lot of time working with wikis (I think I've got some 46,000 global edits to all the Wikimedia wikis) and am a web designer by trade.

Those things are indeed not supposed to look that way. Any such findings should be reported to DoranM, since he's the one who can fix those things.

You know I never looked at the article names, but that does looks bad. We'll definately need to change that.
