Yes i know its a public game, yes just about everyone has an IQ of a frisbee, but lately I've had barbs and monks mainly skipping even elite packs and 80% of white trash and they're above para 500 with pretty decent gear, what confuses me is why?
I dunno maybe just me but i thought public games were mainly for the buff it provides (exp and so on) and group play yet half the time they're off in the distance not killing anything.
Im interested who else has experienced these special kind of people.
EDIT: I'm aware t6 is a joke and can farm a rift in under 1-3mins, am para 706 currently in season so im not a fresh player, this kind of thing bugs me a little..
I might be wrong but from what I've seen, barbs are really good at killing weak mobs and not so good at elites or tougher white mobs. Lots of times barbs I play with will run ahead and just get some good damage in before the cleanup crew (zdps sader, wizard, dh) finish off the leftovers
They should make it so that you have to be within a screen from the kill or you dont get any XP or loot.
I hate those people, you kill an elite pack and they are at the other end of the map with zero mobs killed on the way. You can maybe play so in groups when you have a tactic and the group knows about it, but not just in random public games without saying a word. I usually ask them once to stay with the group and then kick vote.
I do this. I basically clear more then 60% solo my team just has to kill stragglers and elite packs. A barb staying with the group is loosing out on ALOT of damage done. Once you played a barb urself you will know how fast one of those barbs clears while you kill elite packs. This is especially good in speed grifts, where the barb can solo all the trash by just spinning past them.
so essentially barb is back to the same fucked up state it was in classic for team play whereby there is no team play with barb, unless you run 4 barbs all with the same build/gear setup, good to know, as to the OP it is most likely they are tagging monsters so when you go through killing they get the XP for it, and are just too lazy to do the leg work to kill elites.
Sadly this is why Barbs and Monks are completely useless in group play (and solo), unless they play as the one specialist support barb in high-end grifts.
All they can do is clear white trash, but white trash clearing is slow and next to useless at progressing a rift/grift compared to just slaughtering elites and nothing else like what Wizards and Crusaders do. White trash clearing is also doubly useless as none of the enemies drop progress bubbles, legendaries, ancients, deaths breaths, gems or much money.
So just do what the rest of us do and quit any pub rift containing Barbs or Monks, then enter one with Crusaders, Wizrads and DH's.
yea barbs in general are a lazy bunch in pubs but I play angry chicken that no one on this earth can keep up with, and yes ill be a map ahead of the group. I always start the game by saying just loot like crazy and if I leave a map just port to me especially if a boss is about to spawn. Everything will be dead and all chests will be opened and all shrines will be used with nems. I farm T10 under 2min solo but I rather help people that usually are stuck in shit hole rifts. And I've had multiple groups go 15-25 rifts in a row with me. Not using nems in rifts is worse than barbs, if you put those two together and you got yourself hell.
I play monk non season and I agree that the current top build for solo monk is not good for team play. Now, monk does have an awesome support build, but I've personally never encountered anyone playing it. When I do play group I do what I can to be useful, but I tend to stick to solo for this very reason.
Most likely that both monks and barbs this season aren't particularly good at killing elites and big whites while both of them slaughter big packs of small white mobs
Granted I only have to deal with barbs for about 30sec of a rift till they get frustrated and leave. I'm at a 100% barb rage quit rate so far and don't foresee it dropping anytime soon.

i always killing all mobs including elites.
sometimes they kicking me because they cant hit any mob
I must be unlucky and find all the dud ones
They just tag the most mobs possible so they will recieve xp from them, that's why.

No problems here as Wizard. Barbs can't keep up with me, nor do monks, any mob that gets to take a glance at me, is dead within 1second :).

When I'm in a public rift, I kill everything that fracking moves... Don't care what class I'm playing ATM.
