Am i mistaken or in previous diablo games there where only human characters? Then i'd also love to see some elves maybe? They would make nice rangers and mages =) Oh an i hope they give more skils to the assassins, my most favorite class! I was also wondering if they have the whole Hell vs. Heaven concept then how to Necroes fit in there, since they are precieved as an "evil" class i think or not, but thats just how i see it.
Well, like I've said in previous threads, all the characters that you are able to choose from have always been human.
In the Diablo Universe, humans have always been caught in between the war between Heaven and Hell. Suffice to say, I suppose it would be logical to assume, that you should be able to pick through any character class, whether it's evil or not.
For instance, when you're about to make a character, you would first choose between any character class (which affects your skills and fighting style), and then, after that, choose the alliance (which therefore affects the storyline).
It is really simple, that way, it won't be so much like WoW. In WoW, you can't be a Human or an elf, and fight for the evil side. The idea that I'm proposing is that, I believe you should be able to choose your side regardless of your character class. As in.... you can be either be a necromancer that fights for the side of Hell, or a necromancer that would fight for the side of Heaven.
I think that directly relates to the storyline (if D3 is indeed, Heaven vs. Hell). Humans have always been in between the two sides. Our side is neutral. And the whole purpose Angels and Demons have been dwelling in the mortal realm is to sway which side the humans/mortals stand upon; because so far, there is a stalemate between the forces of Heaven and Hell.
It would be really cool if they let you learn really rare spells/skills out of books that are hard as hell to find, kinda like they did in Diablo but not all the spells/skills just a few. The rest you would get when you level up like in Diablo 2.

good idea, but i like it when you reach lvl 60 or somethin u get a rare skill and it's skill cap will only be 5 cuzz the skill is gonna be strong as hell.
Wow! That's a great idea, kingpin! I love that idea! You're definitely right, what I loved about Diablo 1 are some of the small elements of gameplay they have there. Ressurect scrolls, books that contain knowledge to be able to use magic. I think they should be able to do that. Your character should be able to find books that contain knowledge to the most rare spells out there like "blood star".
That's also a good idea, Rice. Another good variation to that would be to get something else that's extra, like a mount (meaning, a horse or other animals to ride). To be honest, now that I think about it, the only good thing about having a mount in the Diablo world is that it's something cool to show off. So, I think a good achievement for reaching a high level is that you'd be able to summon a mount, just something you can do to parade around.
You should be able to either choose Heaven or Hell or Humans that you will get to play like heavenly paladin vs Hell paladin vs normal paladin that would be sweet.
I dissagree there can still be a cool way to bring back diablo even tho he died, they shouldnt change the name it would be like totally changing the name of a very popular movie and that would be stupid, i dont like when they do stuff like that. By the way wouldnt he be sent to hell when he dies?????? SO the whole idea of Hell invading HEaven would bring diablo back!!!!
Haha, that's exactly what I said a few posts ago. I truly don't want to mess with God on this. Perhaps, they might play out the Hell storyline to fight Tyreal as your last boss.
