I somewhat agree. I agree that for a few acts or a few quests in those Acts would be to protect or safeguard a town.
Well, I like the experience I had in Diablo 1. The gloom, the darkness, the lonely feeling. I think they should have more levels like that. See, in Diablo 1 you'd only be able to play with 4 characters, and even though there could be 4 of you in one level (like, Catacombs 1), you still get that gloomy/eerie feeling that something horrifying will happen, or that you'd encounter something truly horrific. I didn't feel that in Diablo 2 so much. Haha, all I felt was anger and madness.
When I started to play Diablo 2, it was during the days when it had recently just came out. I was perhaps one of the first 100 players. And Duriel was a tough one to deal with for us. Not even a minute inside his dungeon, and he'd kill your character with 1-3 hits. Very annoying. He was too agressive.
Another good idea to me, would be like, an open battle ground or maybe perhaps even a labyrinth with the demonic/angelic guardian hunting you down (like the Izual quest, he was just in one spot and able to roam free, while you search for him), and in that situation, I think the best enemy would be the most agressive, just like how Duriel was agressive.
lol i made mad str for my sin to use a mual to kill that gay durial da good ol days
so good guys have human mers and bad guys demon mers yeah thats sweet
not even instead of mer your stuck with a 'companion' you start game with him/her depending on your class and like a mele char weakness would be ranged attacks the mer would streanthen that either with aroras or plain old brutality
o and im stummped when i played diablo 2 the thing at the top where they advertise wc i saw diablo moon of the spider is that the name 4 d3 i no its a book but can sum 1 answer that and
The Diablo book Moon of the Spider is just a book written by some author, and published for fans to read. Think of it as a spin-off, or an "OAV" from an anime.
DiabloKiller's photo is a photoshopped picture of Diablo in the first game.
Knightmarex no its a photoshopp from diablo2 exp cause i looked on the botton and it said copyright 2001
who cares about weather your avitar, or who ever's is a photoshopp, what differance does it make? This has nothing 2 do with the topic, can we get back 2 topic!
Well, if you'd want to get back to the topic, we've already discussed yours (the idea that there must be more than one hired merc).
And most of us agreed that it would not be such a good idea to have that feature. For one thing, the class that has the ability to summon would be worthless, because well.... if you can hire 10 mercenaries, then, why would you need a necromancer for? Or 3-5 wolves?
It will suck for those who summon. And that's a little bit unfair to them.
u walk into a new act u got 2 da mercs and it says
"we capture demons and enslave them, hoot hoot hoot, those bastards work for us now"
and u can pick a demon that walks around with a ball and chain but conviently doesnt effect his movement >.> but then when he grows stronger after fighting along your side you can choose to trust your demon or keep him prisoner leave him free he gets kik ass bonos stats and fights with u if hes trustworthy but if u leave him free 2 early he will get those stats use any gear he has on him and woop yo ass.. of course u could kill him but he will most likly turn on you when ur in a room full of fiends XD
I dont think the ideas of having more then one merc at a time, equping all the stuff the normal characters can do, .. or having inventories,...lol, cmon guys, they are just hirelings, to help u a "little", not complitely take over the fight. The only thing that , in my opinion, should be added is to be able to controll them somehow, like when they get stuck behind the wall, or when they constantly run into groups of monsters and u dont want them to do that. When i say controll, i just mean like 3-4 different commands, not like controll them totally. Like a button command (i think someone said something about this allready in this thread)
You fucking retarded ass sonofabitch! You seriously think you could cast a fireball at Gheed just because you were a n00b137 enough to gamble in the beginning of the game? Well i got a few words for you: NOT IN TOWN, MOUTHAFUCKA!
yeah thats a good idea i had a trapsin and my mer had infinity hard to keep him near my traps hed wonder off and get hit by another char ruins stratigy

Ahh, finally. See, this! Thank you. I completely agree with you. That is the main reason we don't need more than one hireling. And plus, you'd be taking most of the fun out of the game if you had so many.
Oh, and someone did say something about the number keys (specifically the one where your character yells "Help! Help me!"). I heard if you press that, your mercenary would actually come to your aid.
